i guess you past experiences with older pvd stuff wasnt as great as mine

Posted by PVDenraptured on Apr-14-2005 04:18:

i have to admit....tiesto in concert is better...im just saying, i still like global...

Posted by DOOMBOT on Apr-14-2005 05:33:

Yes. Watching Tiesto concert videos are the best. I have to admit. If and when I EVER go to see Tiesto live it will be just to say I have seen him. I hope that it will be a good experience. But I dunno. Even though I am a noob to live performances, seeing PvD for my first time might have been a mistake only cuz he just threw on an amazing performance and it was the best I will ever see.

Hmm, I thought Armin said he would be @ Central Park due to that supposed weather change last summer Played @ Crobar >___<

Posted by Thero40 on Apr-14-2005 21:20:

I dont think the rain is why they cancelled the Central Park event last summer, i think they were worried that they didn't sell enough tix for the event and it would be dead so they moved it to a club, and obviosly they aren't even going to attempt it this time around.

well, if he keeps up the trend of coming here every other month, then im guessing he'll be back August or September for Summerstage, it makes sense

...and the Global DVD from PvD is amazing but not as good as Tiesto in Concert even tho i love PvD 10 times more.

well yeah tiesto in concert is better because its a whole set with sick visuals n shit, but PvD's Global is an amazing DVD because every song is in a different country, and the music is amazing, hopefully he comes out with another dvd soon (politics of dancing 2 )

it would be awesome if he pulled up to crobar in the politics of dancing 2 bus

Posted by DJ Eco on Apr-14-2005 21:33:

yea, theyre 2 different DVDs, so hard to compare them with each other (even tho i did lol) but yea... PvD was done from an artistic standpoint, some of the videos were just really interesting and thought provoking, and others were just energetic and make you yearnful to be at the LoveParade but i like watching Tiesto's better, you hear the crowd, you see the lights, even though some ppl complain about "why would you watch a concert, thats lame?", idk, i find myself dancing along with the 30,000 ppl singing along and clapping my hands in my living room hahaha....

...well, either way, if i have enough money left over after Kai Tracid, i will check this out, i havent seen Armin since last summer

do u think thats why? cuz i doubt they thought they wouldnt sell enuff tickets...Armin IS a huge draw here in NYC...being one of the top 5 djs...and SummerStage is a fukin EVENT in itself...i seriously think it was the rain that factored in their decision -- but hey i could be wrong. lol

im just waiting for that DVD to come out. lol

Posted by Thero40 on Apr-14-2005 22:12:

Armin is big but not even close to PVD and Tiesto when it comes to fan base, Tieso packed that place and PVD would of if it didn't rain, i doubt Armin would of done the same.

You should have more faith in him. You'd be surprised what he's capable of.

Numbers don't matter. It's the experience you get out of it. Since Armin wants to take you on a "voyage" and hops along as a club-goer himself, it feels as though the music is just there (as in a tv show or a movie) and that Armin is part of the crowd. He's the best.

Posted by DJ Eco on Apr-14-2005 22:31:

Armin has a huuuuge following, especially growing in the US, in my opinion.... if he keeps it up by working hard and filling in the gaps that former Tiesto super fans are missing from their fallen hero (just my opinion), he could be trance's #1... he def puts a lot of work into it, it seems to be more his passion than it is for Tiesto or Paul van Dyk, you gotta hand it to Armin van Buuren, hes really a hard worker and he doesnt upset. hes definitely not my favorite DJ, but ill say is the most hardworking, i think his fan base has doubled or quadrupled in the past 2 years at least, i think he could def pack a Central Park party.

Posted by PvDoBseSSioN on Apr-14-2005 22:40:

if its promoted right then yea he could pack da place

Posted by roblovestrance on Apr-14-2005 22:51:

Dancing Dude

They (MADEEVENT) know that Armin is capable of packing a big place such as summerstage.Do you think they would book him if they didnt think he'd be able to do it????????? He is so big in NY that I doubt that was the reason why they moved the event to Crobar last year.Even though it was indoors, I still had a great time. He never dissappoints when he comes to NYC!!!!!!

Posted by vtec junkie on Apr-15-2005 01:25:

I will deff be there. Got ASOT 191 today and it totally blew me away....if he plays like that @ Spirit it would be a sick ass show.

Posted by AY STAR on Apr-15-2005 02:50:

no one really knows the truth to what happened last year
i agree armin is one of the hardest workin dj's out there
between all his gigs, radio show and comming out with a new artist album
i think he could pull off a summer stage but thats just me
but its gonna be a shame if theres only one summer stage i know its pvd, but last year there was supposed to be 3
i hope made has another one up their sleves

The truth is the forecast predicted for the week was mostly rain, almost every day.

Armin doesn't want his fans to get wet... or sick...
