-- Which genre do you think is easier/hardest to spin?

imo learning to beatmatch breaks for the beginning dj is pretty tough, but after you get decent at it you can have the bpm's not quite perfect and the mixes still sound passable- ie breaks are more forgiving when it comes to beatmatching... you know, you mix two 4x4 tracks and if they get even slightly out of sync they'll start to either cancel each other out or start to gallop, but when breaks go slightly out of sync it's not as audible.
i'd have to say the hardest thing for me to spin is hip-hop, just cause i'm really not used to the lower bpm stuff, and you don't get two minutes of an intro, and theres a ton of vocals throughout that gets me confused.
i think house is the easiest to spin, as it is mostly really good but minimal in sound layers and is easy to understand the sound!
breaks i treat like just a normal 4/4 beat which it is (not hard at all to beatmatch), but you can let breaks sync out a bit and no one would notice if it was not properly matched.funny that?
i mostly mix trance and techno, so i would have to really say the hardest to mix from my point of view is TRANCE as it has so much going on within the tracks mostly (it has many layers). therefore you have to be especially be good at beatmatching else it totaly sound $#$@ when just out of sync and also you got to be able use the EQ'S to make the mix flow better and slowly fade out the other songs frequcies etc.
sometimes i get pissed mixing trance even though i love it to death but is very unforgiving when mixing the genre.
i love 3 deck techno mixes as there nice and quick slices of tracks and r made with alot of transitions.
when ya get the hang of it all its a piece of cake!
I TRY JUST TO MAKE A BEAT OUT OF ANYTHING WHILE BEATMATCHING EVEN IF THERE IS NO FULL BEAT THERE, I JUST MAKE UP THE BEAT INSIDE MY HEAD WHICH IS HANDY.
I EVEN CAN BEATMATCH DURING BREAKDOWNS if need be.
can you do this?
i saw two dj's mixin hip-hop at an AND 1(basketball) TOUR at melboune and i felt sorry for dem, as i think hip hop is definatly one that is hard to mix, but im not sure as i havent mixed it?
