Wickid good times
Firstly...It was nice to stand in line & NOT freeze your ass off
for a change...I got there at around 10:20 so that I can pay the $15 cover.Someone here mentioned that this was a cheap cover considering the healiners that we're there well that is SOO true
...Once inside I ran into Cono_sur and then a few more TAs came around
...Here's the list...I hope I didn't forget anyone
>>>SurrJRS,MaxTO,Ray & Marg,Nat & Graham,Diginut,Schryer & Jenna (awesome seein you guys...its been soo long
),Carlos & Corrine (same with you guys...WAaay too long since I've seen you 2),Del (only saw you once & then ya dissapeared
),RJ (Loved the T shirt
),Dr Goodvibe,Desidel and MarkT...
I have to give a very special shout out to Pat (aka b4k-oz)...YOU are THE kewlest & I had an amazing time hangin out with ya
...Next time you have to bring your significant other (Commander Striker)...I felt kinda safe with you in the Guv since it was pretty rammed BUT I managed to get us around through the crowds
...
I'm glad that I didn't see any of the drama that was posted here....Clearly some people need to re-evaluate their social skills & some apologies are in order...
As for the DJs at work well I maily came to hear Josh Gabriel.Addy put down an amazing set for starters & as well as Oliver in the Guv side....Ferry was amazing & so Pat & I stayed in the Guv until 3:30 or so & ventured back through the Drink & into the Koolhaus for Gabriels set...Once he came on he was amazing
...I got a realy close-up pic of him & danced abit near the stage
I didn't stay out TOO late so I said my goodbyes & went home around 5ish....
My only pet peave for that nite was that Security didn't have that "clockwise" crowd control to get around the 2 clubs...I really wish they had another way of getting people in & out of the 2 main venues INSTEAD of trying to push your way through The Drink....its a huge pain in the ass
Otherwise I had alot of fun

Sorry about the over abundance of smilies

Sounds like the freaks and wierdos were out in full force last night! Only at the Guv....
People should screw politeness, get over the shock, reach down, return the favor, only this time YANK dude's ball bag down to the ground instead!!! See how he likes being 'touched'.
Or else, just go grab LKD and get him to kick them in the nuts.
this party review is by far the weirdest i've read.
totas crying, kick in the nuts, cock grabber, a jerk off session.

should I be glad I missed it or should I be sad???
coup on jamies:
i had a great time. cool to meet some foreign ta's. i met alot more of u than i remember, took me 2hrs to realise it was goodnet who said hi and i was just like "oh hey" and ignored him lol.
one thing i was a little dissapointed about was the attitute of the general women there (not margs or any we went with) but if i ever started talking to any of the women they just looked down on me with a snotty attitute. it wasnt until i mentioned this to del and eric that they said thats the norm, shame.
my ears are ruined.
-entrance:
awesome! I expected a nice long line since everyone has to purchase tickets at door, but it moved very quick. We waited 10-15mins. Coat check was was also a breeze
-KH:
awesome. plenty of room as always and I was comfortably able to boogie to the sweet sounds of chable and seaman around what seemed to be a really nice crowd
-Guv:
I was at the sole location I could see myslef surviving in that place - front of the main stage. I honestly dont see how people can possibly enjoy themselves being anywhere in the center of main dance floor....that is brute!!!! Ferry was good as always. The guv crowd rather high on aging, stoned asians(I guess because it was a regular cover night). There was one, probably 30-40 years old, shirtless and on stage doing the most retarded, crippled $hit with glow sticks. He then just pauses and has this looks on his face like he was transported to another dimension. It was pretty sad, but kinda funny...but more sad. Oh well, they dont really bother me so i dont know why i'm so hatefull.
bumped into starsearcher(1st time),nrg2infinity, RJ, and theBroad(1st time).
anyway, overall it was an excellent night
peace
Awesome night.. i came in to guv at around 3 am.. drunk off my butt it as great to see everyone.. good set by ferry and the people in the kool haus.. i cant even remmeber who was playing what when lol
coup awesome to finally meet you.. and jamie too.. if you can remember lol
all the tas i had a blast..especially goodnet haha..we were trying to meet almost every single lady in the club
It always good times when nrg and goodnet are around.

Met my 2 friends (for the 1st time) from Ohio out front, Sean (atrayn22) and his gf Amy. Can u BELIEVE that they fell victim to a scam of someone selling the 'ladies in free b4 1am' pass for $15, that were handed out for free by promoters!?!?
lucky for them, they got in on my line bypass, otherwise they woulda missed the 1am cutoff in the reg. line. Thanks a million John for the hookups.
Started off in the KH, overwhelmed at all the faces to say hi to. Chable was on I guess- I remember him dropping that awesome track-'swing to symphony' or something. I love that song!
Took the visitors on tour of the club, and landed in the Guv for Mark's set. He was bangin! Left the Ohio kids in the crowd, I ventured for some breathing room. Ferry came on at 2:30- room became even MORE of a sauna & sardine can- no where to enjoy the set. Lost Trigger in the process (where'd u go?). Headed off to the KH for relief.
Grayarea was on at this point- i swear they announced they were "Motley Crue from Los Angeles" (and i'm not the only person who heard this, and I was 100% sober). Never heard them b4, REALLY enjoyed their set and energy. Found out that these guys grew up in the hardcore/ punk scene too. Their stage presence totally showed that, esp. when the singer came down in the crowd and sang. HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVED THEM!
Then, Josh Gabriel- set of pure bliss! (minus the power outage mid-set). "here is the house", various remixes of "beautiful things", "Mindcircus"!!!, and closed w/ "As the Rush Comes", < and can u believe that for this 1st time ever, this song did NOT annoy me???? I was even singing to it! Definitely due to the fact that we haven't heard it in a long time.
Then, back to the Guv- more room in there now. Came in during "Rock your body". Saw some more people i hadn't seen yet. Found the Ohio kids again, having the time of their lives. Danced for a bit, went upstairs, got into the booth to say hi to Ferry & grab some pics, then hopped into the Drink (finally) to say bye to some TA's, and then headed out.

STRANGENESS:
-midieval wrestler guy with blue beard and glowing outfit- can't bash him tho, cuz he was all smiles.
- asian dude who danced with water bottle on his head all night.
PLUSES:
-As usual, all the TA's - there are FAR to many of us to name, so to everyone I saw, big hug & kiss to you all.
-visuals & cool temps in the KH for relief.
-guys in the orange 'F-E-R-R-Y' shirts on stage.
MINUS POINTS:
-as expected, crowdedness in the Guv. Wasn't expecting it to be that HOT this time of year yet. Place needs better ventilation. Crobar in NY gets just as packed & its cool as a fridge in there. Also, only spotted my own boyfriend on 2 occasions, for only seconds each time. That many people...
-sound in the KH. Is your sound technician deaf, or something? FFS...
-no 1-way traffic, no access to the Drink til after 4am (wasn't it 'all access'??)
- - - - - - - - - - -
Jason- sorry to hear about your 'incident'. You are FAR too nice. Most of us woulda killed someone for that shit.
El Kay Dee- once and for all, STOP DRINKING!!! You become such an ass, and a violent one, to people you barely know, for nothing. Grow the fuck up! You've done this sorta shit HOW many times now? Everyone here is FAR too nice and sweeps it under the rug, excusing you because you're drunk. In the end, you only make yourself look stupid. It's no excuse any more. If u can't control yourself, dont make us suffer as a result. Try that shit in the real world, where people aren't as sypathetic as us, and you'll find yourself in the hospital, in jail or worse.
WHY ARENT MORE PEOPLE MENTIONING TWO MONTHS OFF!
It was an excellent nite, i took nearly 400 pictures!!!
Once i get back to the UK i will sort them out and get them posted on ketmonkey.com
Was great to meet all the TA's here and i also apologise for my messyness hehe
So I really really really needed to study but I opted to go. Sober night, with the plan to leave at 4, which is exactly what we did. Me and my partners in crime (Ryan aka. mindspin, Nema, John, Sheena, Mike, Palmer) got to the club just as Luke Chable was coming on and wow he was throwing it down. His style was a very uplifting progressive house with heavenly vocals and beautiful synth lines.
Then came on Dave Seaman. I've seen Dave spin a few times before and he's hit or miss. Last night, definately a hit. Anyone who believes they can ID a track, I've got a short video clip that needs the track ID'ed for me. SO good.

LOL, the best part is, you got me 4 times and I kept looking right over you trying to find out who's kicking me. You short SOB (no offense to short people, I love you all)
What a night!! Really didn't know what to expect and didn't know if I'd even find some ppl from Ottawa visitng but glad I ran into tatgirl in the Guv and she kept me company (thanks Nat!!
) I waited on stage but then it got insane so I moved down near the bar but didn't see you come back so figured you ran for higher ground as by that point it had gotten insanely packed - exactly like a can of sardines and I had flashbacks of LOL 2002
But did manage to find them and hang out with them for awhile.
So anyway stayed in Guv and Drink for refuge from the masses. Saw quite a lot of Ferry's set and have to say I was soooo impressed!! Wow what a hard set laced with some great trance tracks. Was about to leave when I heard Anything - Lily Hayden and had to run back in for a bit ... really didn't want to leave but by 7:00 I was dead tired and needed sleep...gettin old I guess! But had an awesome time - didn't see many of the TAs as Nat said most were over in the KH but good to see everyone having such a good time in Guv even if it was rammed. They really need to work on that but in reality Ferry should have been in KH...like honestly any of the top 5 DJs are going to draw a huge crowd so do us all a favour and put them in the KH so we can breathe let alone dance!
