Went to bass Station friday night, best night out I've ever had. The crowd was unreal, place was huge. The outside area (blocked off so people couldn'y leave) was unreal. I hope bass keeps this formula for future big bass events. One things for sure I'm glad you guys didn't go, would have put a bad vibe on the whole event.

The crowd there was the best I've ever seen, no agro, just there to have a good time. Who's up for next big bass....Jewelz CD launch

I agree lorderan.

I had an awesome time, and all of my friends had an awesome time there. The music was superb and the crowd was great!

Entering as Gazmatron was ripping it up, it seemed like it was going to be a good night. Really enjoyed Jewlz and Compound and surprisingly I really enjoyed most of Hellraisers' set.

The palace was full, but not too full and they had the air con on so it wasn't too hot.

I'm sorry I'm not one of the elite TA crew thats been around for years but if you had of stayed more than 10 minutes you would have had a good night too.

everyones got their own taste in music dude
i love my hard beats

one could say listening to your radio set the other week, that anyone who likes those male vocal kinda tracks are also deemed gay?

u like what u like, others like what they like

dont knock the harder stuff cos its the harder stuff that rolls in the money in melb.

and any hard nrg event is garunteed to go off.

hahaha...

fairly jaded post from almost all regular TA poster... wicked!

but almost all of us listened to the harder stuff when we just started going out..

but back then it was all quality, now more than half of it are just noise. sorry rezzy, i didn't listen to much harder stuff anymore except for the classics every now and then, so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong..

lorderan, we're not superior, we're just educated enough to know better!

Posted by lorderan on Apr-28-2005 02:41:

You'd be surprised how long i've been in the "scene". People like you were around when I started. People are constantly winging that the "scene" has lost itself. The scene hasn't been lost, its just you guys whinging about it.

I think its as good now as it was in '98, went shit there for a couple of years '00-'01 but now its back.

Less judgement more enjoyment.

Posted by lorderan on Apr-28-2005 02:49:

Tachyon, you a DJ? The people that bag HT/Hstyle are usually DJ's or wanna be DJs. I've thought a bit about trying my hand at DJing, but the one thing thats stopping me (other than I can't do it) is that I want to keep some mystry to the music. I don't want to be dancing and start to critique the music I'm listening to, I just want to feel it.

Anyone know what I mean?

Can you feel it when not on drugs, it may seem a harsh judgement made here, but personally i would be driven to take drugs if i had to endure the pain of listening to hard trance for more than 2 hours.

is jaded the new black or something? how is it that if someone has a personal opinion about something it makes them "jaded". oh, dave doesnt like snickers, hes jaded.. dave doesnt enjoy homosexual company, he must be jaded.. dave doesnt like nrg.. my god he's jaded.

what ever happened to taking comfort in hating shit?

answer - i hate hard trance. *

* not including old dumonde tunes circa 99-2002

Posted by jizza on Apr-28-2005 03:02:

mate i wouldnt worry bout it too much, i once too was ridiculed for my affliction for the hard variety but then i realised if they dont like it, they simply wont like it and they are free to express their opinions in condemning it.

however, 2 generalisations i do not agree with you about :

todays hard trance, well i'll be honest, is shit. if anything, current hard trance is a shadow of its former self - even the stuff being produced in 2000-2001 was infinitely better. (2002 being my fave year)

nah i think you'll find people who bag it, just dont like hard trance. nothing more, nothing less.

hence, you just enjoy it mate. thats all that really counts right?

hahahaa what a post you jaded fcuk

im intrigued to know Loderan, what exactly is it that draws you to Hard NRG or Hard Trance... i mean do you listen to it as your only form of music, do you listen to it outside of the clubs, whats your education on this type ofmusic. if you actually enjoy it for whatever reason and listen to it outside of teh clubs, then whilst you may not have teh full agreeance of most people here, you will have some of their respect..

to me, hard trance and hard nrg, whilst its good to pump and jump around to for a bit, im not really sure that i can classify it as musically talented music..

*awaits blasting*

ahh well sez i guess its different strokes for diff folks...
honestly thought it was probably the 2nd best set ive heard him play

the way she said it to me was...."its good because you dont stand around waiting for a kick in every 5 minutes, theres heaps of little things going on all the time, its way more interesting"

so umm yeah, i guess she likes it like the way i like it
