Dancing Dude

I think that if you need to take something like alcohol or E to enjoy EDM,you are not a true fan of this type of music.Im proud to say that I have NEVER used any type of drugs to enjoy EDM.I have tried alcohol but it just isnt my thing.I always have a good time when i go out and this is without the use of substances of any kind. I WAS BORN TO PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MUSIC got me into the drugs, not the other way around. I was around the culture and drugs are a part of the culture, it just sorta happened...

Re: Re: Substance Abuse and Clubs (Are you really in it for the music?)

I never said I was a straight edge. I base it on hearing comments in my E thread about people taking 9 pills in a night and by seeing what people are like in clubs. I never said I was straight edge and I don't do drugs. I found a very small amount of people in hear just say "yes I can enjoy it without the drug" and a whole lot more get on their "soap boxes" and bitch about why E is so fantastic and there's nothing wrong with it.

I hope none of you people EVER bitch at a person shooting up heroin or someone who feels the need to drink excessively, do coke every weekend, etc. because it's just "enhancing" the experience of the music they already love. I hope that the people who pop nine tabs in a weekend end up in the hospital.

You're a real idiot man. Have you ever heard of moderation? From the sounds of things the E users here have a better diea about clubbing and the music than you do. I've only ever done E at raves, and never more than once a month. I do it obviously to enhance the night. If I listen to trance constantly every day for a month (which I do) and then go to a big party one night and take a pill I am not in it for the music? you need to reevaluate things dude.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he's an idiot. I agree with some of what he said above, but too each his own.

Are you that fucking daft or can you not read. I said 9 pills. Having to take that amount to get yourself high means that you don't do it in moderation therefore you relating it to those who don't do it all the time or don't do that much is of no consequence .

So I'm the idiot by questioning why others have to do drugs at clubs when I can enjoy the music sober at a club, yes that must mean they have a better idea of clubbing and the music. Considering I've been listening to house and trance music for over 5 years now and can enjoy myself sober, do you know how stupid it sounds to assume they know more than me about it?

I think you need to learn to deal with the opinions of others and not cry when someone has an opinion of their own and the free thinking mind to post it and not follow what everyone else does. Do you see me standing in your way? Nope. I belive I made comments about the people who HAVE to do E every time they go to a club or have to be piss drunk to have a good time, thanks for coming out.

Do I seriously have to answer that or did you not read the reply from every drug user in the thread saying they do it to enhance the music.

Oh fuck nevermind, jesus.

The next time I see someone shooting heroin before clubbing or mixing a number of drugs together and getting plastered while snorting a line of coke and eating mushrooms before finally dropping a tab I'll be more sensitive to the fact that it's to enhance the music.

I think I just fell inlove. That was great!

you: idiot

I fully understand now and the next time I see someone shooting up heroin while snorting a line of coke off a hookers ass and chewing on mushrooms while dropping tabs of acid and ecstacy I will be more sensitive to the fact that they want to loosen up or enhance the music.

The next time I hit the local club I'll be sure to high five the first e-tard, whoops I mean music enthuseist, that I meet. I'll even help the hardcore music addict roll over on his side so that he doesn't choke on his own vommit. And if I'm in a great mood I'll even call the ambulance if he goes into cardiac arrest due to drugs, wait no I wouldn't.

Shut up. You're wrong. And your point doesn't get more correct if you repeat it multiple times. You're also a bigger bonehead than me and totally unreachable by the perfectly senseful arguments given to you.

Two choices - either try a drug in a club or try cutting your wrists, perhaps in a club. Go ahead.

I have tried drugs in a club before. I don't understand the hostility, I believe that I stopped arguing and started agreeing about the wonderful benefits that drugs have a few posts above. I think that you should read. I'll cut my wrists only if it will help me enjoy the music or allow me to let myself go!

that is ridiculous.

i bet heaps of people on these boards, who have used substances at one point or other, know and appreciate a heck a of a lot more when it comes to EDM than some of you "true fans".

Trust me, it will. Now go get them, tiger!

But seriously, even I, who have never used ANY drugs, can understand that they enchance the experience. AND that people who use them can enjoy the music without them as well.

I also believe everybody should listen to music while on drugs at least once... just as everybody should listen to it while sober. Most likely you'll enjoy both.

Wow you just made yourself sound a little bit sad. He said if you HAVE to take it to enjoy it, not if you take it ocasionaly or can enjoy it without the drugs.
