I think the best way to describe Dan is Funkno, he plays hard funky technoy type music. I don't have a tracklisting though.

I got your PM late last night - we were at the hotel most of the day.

I really liked Dan's set, but didn't like Maus or the guy after him. Maus was too up and down - like playing lisa shaw and then gehts noht (I cant remember exact spelling) and the guy after dan got really dark, and the crowd thinned out and it was just a lot of sketchy thugs. so we called it a night.

Too bad I could not come to the meet up and could not stay long for the DJ Dan's set, but we were just dead by 6. Other than that it was amazing party, was glad to see everyone there and really liked Maus set.
Will try to make it to Mtl once again sometime this summer

WOW.

I came around 1:30 and stayed until 10:30. I can't believe I survived the whole thing. The night was amazing and as much as I was dancing I was chilling, although not in the VIP this time but on the side couches.

I'm pretty sure I saw malek (were you standing right near the entrance of the VIP at one point, with a drink in your hand and a cap on?)

And i don't know why but I think I saw Monika too (were u dancing on the dancefloor and bumping into a lot of people?)

Anyway, it was a teriffic night.

DJ DAN was excellent, and he played one song (either his song near the end or Simon's near the beginning) and MOUSE played one song at 4:00 exactly which I need to get hold of. They're amazing. Latin vibe.

BUT

there was this one song with a crazy bass line, and a CRAZY drum pattern that reminded me of rock. I NEED THIS SONG!!!

Anyway,

Hopefully next weekend I actually meet some TAs.

Made the trip up with a crew from T.O. and were surprised to see a lineup of what seemed like several hundred people at 3:45. Hadn't been able to hook up with louis for passes so my girlfriend decided to go try her best with the bouncer. Gotta love women cuz seconds later all 8 of us were headed past the line.

Music was hard and groovin. Crowd was for the most part amazing. People in montreal really know how to dress. (and dance) The place was very busy but never uncomfortable. Spotted a few people that i'm sure were down from T.O. also. Wish I could remember a little more of dj dans set but I think the previous night had taken it's toll on my memory.

Who was it that (i think) came on after dan. Had a really short haircut (if not shaved) and had a whitish shirt on i believe. I was really into the stuff he played, dirty bomb after bomb and the sweetest breakdowns without over doing it. I've also never witnessed mixing that tight. Was watching from behind for a good portion and it was almost like he never touched the pitch yet every single mix was nailed. Then he did this crazy mix over skylark - chancer where he brought it back about 3 times over another track (or loop) that was pretty amazing. Would love to see this guy in T.O. Somebody let me know who it was.

This was my first time partying in MOntreal and you are so lucky to have such a great scene. Circus wasn't quite as good as expected but overal Aria definitely blew me away

Really? I'm from TO and have been to aria quite a few times and honestly, I thought the number of really overweight or really hairy people was crazy!! usually aria is filled with hotties, not this time!
