Posted by flavdave on May-08-2005 21:37:

The drums turn into a big mess towards the end and it's just a nightmare to mix anything into that.

for sure.....you have to wait till that phase is over....plus the dominant high hat seems a bit delayed

Actually It's more than likely because I can't mix for toffee. Someone spat some toffee on my decks once when I was mixing. "Haha, " they said "You can't mix for toffee" as the needle jumped into the label. "Your mum sleeps with video recorders." I said. He pulled my headphone jack out and shoved it in my mouth.

I just had to share that with you

yeah, i hate it when people spit toffee on the decks...

just milk the song for all its worth and when its done, its done. Its one of the those tracks that was made as a song not made to be mixed with i guess but its possible. I play it out all the time and have had no probs.

beginning of Underworld - Long and Dark (Dark Train) drives me nutz so i compensate by playin when the beat comes in. Yea yea, i cheat.

Hell yeah. I think there's actually a glitch in the song. I have it on vinyl and the mp3 version and no matter how perfect the beatmatch is, the beats always come off abruptly at a certain point during the outro. So annoying. I wonder what the hell the problem was.

It just won't mix in properly no matter what I do - it always goes offbeat sooner or later. I have a feeling the track changes speed during the intro...

is your vinyl warped? im sure iv heard someone else moan that this is hard to mix...gonna try mixing mine later on

Posted by eyeball_2003 on May-09-2005 13:48:

i dont think anyone could mix a track into southern sun 2004 (fatkid white isle remix), the guitar riff at the start kinda puts me of.... can mix out of it fine though

nah, can't agree with that...I find that track pretty easy to mix, and it works well with a lot of different types of tracks...
