Matches simply never were and never will be replayed cause of poor refereeing decisions, regardless how bad it was. The only occasion where i remember a game being replayed cause of some ref mistake was a couple years ago some sporting vs benfica where the referee showed the yellow card to a guy who already had been given an yellow, but didn't show him the red. But that's the exception to the rule i guess. Still i can't believe how the ref managed to fuck up on that one

Lol, that is pretty idiotic indeed.

Anyway, there's been a game that had to be replayed in the belgian competition this season. When Baseggio (Anderlecht) shot on goal and scored (against La Louvire) the ball exploded on its way but the referee didnt notice that and allowed the goal. Normally the goal should have been denied but apparently he didnt knew that or something.

Brilliant. Van Basten seemed to have a thing for scoring great goals. Too bad i don't remember seeing him play live on the tv.

when i first started watching euro football in the early 90s he was da man, I always loved seeing him play and that Milan team was so cool with Rijkard and gullit, donadoni etc...those were the days
