this was actually the only anime i ever owned. most others i watched at a friend's house or something, although there aren't many others, after all.

The movie was the worst piece of cluttered shit EVER.

Even the "Read or Die" OVA was better. And that's not saying much.

Posted by AlphaStarred on May-09-2005 05:42:

yea it was boring and all, but the fighting was pretty wicked. i never said it was a great movie anyway ;p

i bought it several years ago in Sam Goody's cos i thought the cover looked cool or something...go figure.

Yeah. I wasn't picking at the series, actually. X, the series, is REALLY something.

I also own the movie.

I pretty much knew I was in for either the weirdest or the stupidest ride ever after the beginning scene where the main character's naked mom pulls a sword out of her stomach.

However, I'm not a CLAMP lover.

In passing, I've just seen Azumi a couple of weeks back. Not an anime, but a very entertaining samurai-esque movie. If you haven't seen it, i highly recommend.

it was okay, it had really nice effects, i loved how they used lens flare like effects on the white. but the movie went on too long, and the plot was pretty shite..

but okay if you have nothing better to do, there are worse.

Orbax highly recommends Digimon.

You HAVE to watch these:

Love Hina (funny haha, hes always getting hit!!! AHAHA!!)
FLCL (good stuff)
Akira (OMG, THE BEST OF ALL ANIME!!!11one)
Great Teacher Onisuka (some funny, but good)

Nou, castle in the sky was quite amazing! i mean the story was absolutley incredible but the characters were shitty and some scenes were really dumb (like the fight between the pirates and the miners) someone ought to redo that movie for a more mature crowd. other than that it was brilliant. the art was also quite good i loved the ships(goliath) and laputa.

Orbax. Berserk, Gungrave and Gantz are my top 3 animes. I noticed that you also REALLY liked Berserk. I honestly have struggled to find ANYONE who hasn't. There will be a second season too. If you go to this website: http://www.thehawks.org/ and just scroll down the news bar on the right, you will see them talk about how the author of the Berserk manga has confirmed that he will do a second season once he has enough manga for it. (The manga gets crazy).

But yeah Berserk is my absolute number one anime. The music is so good too. You should definetely watch Gantz. Very original idea.

I enjoyed the offbeat comedy series called Golden Boy, and the korean animation/cgi film Wonderful Days

no way,

it was horrible.

one part of the movie that was O.K

was the first fight when he goes against those robots.
YEA

overall the movie was a piece of crap, with NO plot no anything.

stupid shiet with over done effects that were just so overly done that it was cheese.

there are worst movies but i guess they are from 1960s.

im drunk but yea,

don't watch/waste your time with casshern.

watch good shiet like Zatoichi, Kids Return, Sassy Girl, OldBoy.

Posted by niteshayde on May-13-2005 09:35:

what orbax mentioned in his first post...kenshin. may take awhile to watch all of them, but its worth it. the battousai with his reverse blade katana...kenshin's my hero (*bows down).

i've seen a couple ppl mention gto. the tv series and movie totally kicked ass...i've seen the tv series twice haha and the movie like 3 times...but i've never seen the anime or read the comics. so i gather its recommended that i watch the anime too?

i remember years ago i used to watch slam dunk...that anime about this highschool basketball team? it was hilarious...but i still think its great to watch if you're looking for some lighthearted/funny anime.

did anyone mention the first ( i think it was...i watched it when i was 10 or something lol) studio ghibli movie...totoro? it might appeal more to children and girls i guess, cuz its really cute, but who cares, everyone liked finding nemo and monsters inc.
