oh yeah, he made a mistake when he asked for trance in the title, and he asked for anything by leaving out the word trance in the body of his post, i can't compete with that formidable logic.

i know, let's ask psy-t. hey psy-t, did you want people to list trance compilations? no need to get into the argument man, just a little clarification.

i wanted people to list trance compilations, yes.

of course slight exceptions can be made as in the case of these two compilations released in '96 and '97.

the first has tracks from 1996 and earlier, but it's all classic german trance in the '90-'95 style. the second compilation released in 1997...well it's obvious. the most important thing isn't the year the compilations were released, or even what year the songs were released, but that the compilations contain and/or the tracks themselves are classic trance in the '90-'95 style, right?

i didnt post '90-'95 as a strict measure, just as guidelines, same goes for 'trance', it was another guideline.


i'm listening to what seems to be one of the more commercial outings from that period atm: logic trance 2

i was listening to prime cuts 2 a few hours ago and it was fucking awesome, especially tracks 10 & 11. just mint

Can't remember what year any of these were from (no dates in the album sleeve) and before some tit comes along and says "but they're tech-trance" these are really tech-trance but from that long ago in the UK the difference was minimal. You may also be interested to know that the x-mix compilations came in Trippy VHS format

A search on the net should reveal an album or two from all labels. Cracking stuff that I learn't to mix with years ago.
React can be varied from Techno to Trance.

Oh yeah, give some 'Renaissance' stuff a listen anyway. Regardless of the genre it should put you in a trance anyway. One of their albums is worth quite a bit nowadays because of the quality of it's tracks.

regardless of whether it puts you in a "trance" or not, it's not trance. damn, this is tranceaddict.com and people can't even list trance in a thread asking for trance.

That is by and large techno and a damned wicked mix to boot, featuring several tracks from his 94' EM.

The only trance track on the CD version of that is Trancesetters - The Secrets Of Meditation.
