For me the most addictive game ive played is counter-strike. I got into it around 2000 and still play today. Only game that ive played consistently for that amount of time without getting totally sick of it.

Also loved Civ2, spent hours on that game! Don't have time for long games or MMORPGs these days so a few rounds of CS is enough to satisfy me.

Those were the most religously played games I ever played ie. some I would play until I finished them ie. 3-4 days. Other games like SF2 & GT1/2 I would practice on for a few hours every day.

I would have to agree on that. People who haven't been into the MMO scene long enough to know the "glory days" of EQ have no idea how addictive that shit can be. Heh.

Everquest by far..once you reach lvl 60ish and join a high end guild, you'll life is totally over..

Starcraft, Total Annihilation and Red Alret were also very addictive back in the days through Lan

Blizzard's games are extremely addictive: warcraft 3+addon (Dammit the online mode is soo cool especially if you're member of a clan, DOTA etc.), starcraft, diablo 1 & 2 + addons. I remember playing diablo 2 one night straight without getting tired, it was a long time ago

Doubt anybody even remembers this or played it but an old school PS game called Brigandine. Turn based Strategy game...rented that one enough time to buy it twice over..

And the Final Fantasy games too of course.

My wife insists on adding in Kingdom Hearts as well.....
