Wow, what a night. If that music didn't get you leaking warm, sticky fluids from parts of your anatomy that you didn't even know you had, then you were obviously born with a congenital mental defect and should probably be castrated in order to preclude your further participation in the human gene pool. Yes, he was that good.

Although he kinda got a bit samey at the end (he was quite hammered by this stage apparenty?) the first two-three hours were amazing. Perfectly structured, perfectly mixed and literally not one mediocre tune in there. It was the longest I've stayed on the dancefloor for quite some time and would almost certainly be the best set I've seen this year.

Cheers for the company as well, TAs...

Always thought someone should do a remix of this song. I gotta check this out now.

And what did I say about going to Howells? No one [but me] ever leaves dissapointed

Quality night I had. By the way, can any one id any of those funky electro tunes he banged out at about the 1 and a half hour mark?..me gotta get some of those records.

By the way, did anyone get drug and alcohol tested on the way home along burwood rd? First time for me. Took bloody 10 mins. All I can say is lucky I was well behaved.

Posted by tachyon on Jun-12-2005 02:07:

mikey where were you all night man? apart from the start, i seen neither of you or J until howells finishes and by then you already left!!

Posted by JayKuE on Jun-12-2005 06:08:

eclectic and subtlely silky. that's my description for the first 2 hours. i was in a soulful sanctuary for that period, just absorbing the build up, and elements of each song, after song, after song. a groovilicious yet tranquil experience. while much of it sounding very familiar (in the style spectrum of his GU) the only distinct one i think everybody who bought the release recognised was tiga's remix of drama society - crying hero. - "Do you feel what i feel? Do you feel what i feel?"

moreover, one of the funnest and friendliest djs i've seen as of yet! the hands behind the head, striptease pose, the peace signs, the cheeky facial expressions, throwing the shots while still on the decks with ppl form the crowd, signing of hats, jumpers and his mcing! haha - "Melbourne - going fucking mental!!!"

Great, and beautfiul i might add, crowd of people. Great company. Great music. Great night.

Scepticism holds high of Diggers topping it.

P.S Gerry, we were mostly at the backwall, next to the cage. Mikka had an exam today hehe. hence the early departure. g'luck to the boy.

Posted by tachyon on Jun-12-2005 06:29:

LOL dude what is it with you and the cage!

He played what must have been a remix of Der Dritte Raum - Uberdruck around then (at least it had an identical bassline to it) which was pretty off-hook, but can't remember IDing too many others from that point...

time for me to add my 3 cents about this great night. having never been to a prog party, but into the scene for ages, i came into this night with an open mind, and i was glad. this night rocked, didn't recognise many of the trax, but was really pleased with the type of music he played. me and a few mates owned the podium in front of the booth all night long, absolutly loving it. am glad that there wern't too many of the usual room crowd, f**king skinners. anyways, just wanted to say what a great night it was and BTW, WTF am i doing here at work so early, why am i not at home, in a warm bed, listening to one of my own prog mixes, floating off into oblivion. grrrrrrr bloody 8am shift. anyways better get back to it. catch
