Well, if I would've known what I was doing, it would've been inclined to one genre, hehe, but like I said, it just sounded cool so I made it, hehe. That's why I asked what it was since it didn't sound too "normal", hehe. And I didn't know what Psy trance was until a few months ago.

The coolest thing about the trance from 1992-1994/5 is that nobody really knew what the hell they were doing. Everyone was just experimenting with sound, coming up with some really crazy shit (in a good way).

The only basic precept that was being used was that "trance" was that it was so repetitive and mind blowing that it would elevate your consciousness to another level. Lots of tweaking of a REAL TB-303 emphasized this effect immensely. Sven Vath and the early innovators from the Harthouse stable (ie Hardfloor, Oliver Lieb aka Spicelab/LSG, Resistance D, Barbarella, Marco Zaffarano) preferred a stripped down, simple house beat as the backbone, with tons of timbral modulation and tweaking to drive you into "having a mental breakdown right there on the dance floor" (a quote from the booklet included with the "Trance Europe Express 2" double CD from 1993 or 1994).

That's good stuff, DJM. Thanks for sharing that. You know, I remember back around that timeframe some trance songs. There's this particular vocal one I remember...been trying to find it ever since...and it goes like this, "Feeling good...it's time to have a party...(bla bla bla...don't remember what he says)...watch me now...(bla bla bla)...you know how....(and something about the music)" And then the chorus is something like, "You got to, you got to, you got to move it with me...yeah". Something like that. And the song itself is sick...nice synth sounds. Do you happen to know what track I'm talking about? The guy has a high pitched voice...sounds a lot like Daniel Bedingfield. I'll record in Cubase how the song starts. You seem to know all this stuff, so I'm pretty sure you'll know which track it is and tell me, hehe. I need to know...it's more than 10 years me trying to find about it.

It doesn't ring a bell, but if you have a clip of some sort it might trigger something. I have a pretty massive CD collection from 1991-1996, so odds are good I might even have it.

I don't have a clip unfortunately. But I remember it was back in '92 I think...I was 10 so yeah...'92. I'll try to recreate the parts I remember in Cubase. I'm pretty sure you'll remember it. Maybe it wasn't exactly trance, as they played it in one of the top radio stations of P.R...so maybe it's consider dance or something else.
