Yes you French and other continentals are infatuated with a destructive socialist idealogy... but at least you have a great culture (which will soon be destroyed by the invading Muslims, but that's another story).

Note that the Dominion of Canada was a great country at one time, but has been in decline since the late 1960's.... and particularly since 1982.

Its a free world you dolt, whats stopping you from leaving Canada. I get the feeling you won't be missed too much, win win situation really-except for the country that you're going to immigrate to I guess.

Few people who have actually dealt with French people do, I guess. But their public face the last decade, Chirac, has embodied all the arrogance and selfishness that you could possibly imagine. And the French has re-elected him despite his bullying. So some of the disgust you feel for Chirac will carry over to the population at large. Same effect as with the Americans re-electing Bush.

That's a pretty stupid reaction. the french only re-elected Chirac because they didn't want to have Jean-Marie Le Pen (fascist) for president.

After having been so stupid not to vote in the first round of the election - basically voting for having the choice between Le Pen and Chirac. It's not as if God himself ordered you to chose between those two - it was a predictable result of your electoral system combined with indifference on behalf of the voters.

Yes I've seen the flag which means he lives in france. But he could well be an immigrant.

I don't hear too often a French speaking against their country. And thus the bewilderment.

I'm french, born and raised in Aix-en-Provence.
Btw Aix-en-Provence was the only city (about 200 000 inhabitants) in the South of France which votes yes (55%). Btw it's a little success for me because I distribued leaflets for the yes with some friends (socialists liberals mainly), and I discuss with a lot of people and convince them to vote yes. It's a success because a city like Montpellier (sociologically similar) vote no, moreover we was the only persons who make campaign for the yes.

We brits love the Dutch, and from the Dutch i've met they are really fond of us too. I seriously have never met a friendlier bunch of people.

And the most cowardly to boot... Poor slob. Become a vocal minority to turn it around instead of surrendering for a change. You're already famous for that!

If all you Americans are going to be like that you can just go ahead and give them back the Statue of Liberty.

French behaviour during D-Day was shameful.

177 French troops participated.

Just 177.

250,000 soldiers died.
