Not sure how cali is, but in most states anything 20mph or 25mph over the speed limit can be considered wreckless driving.

With the online driving school there are many counties/cities that do not allow you to take it online. My roommate had to go to driving school twice a couple hours from SF because of it.

last year in january, i was driving up to san francisco to catch gabriel and dresden. its about a 300 mile drive from santa barbara. i was going an average of 110 the whole way until i got fuckin pulled over in KING fuckin CITY going 116. cop was cool tho...was trippin tho cuz there were 3 peeps in my car..it was me (mexican), a black dude, and a white girl. He was askin us questions makin sure we werent gonna be takin advantage of her or anythin. anyways, he wrote me a ticket for going 85 in a 70. atleast he was nice. LOL.

Damn. King City is a well known SPEED TRAP! I got my one and only speeding ticket there going home from college, after I graduated!!! What makes things worse is that in King City the speed reduces from 65 to 55 in an area where people are speeding like crazy, so it makes for easy pickins' and an even fatter ticket. I try to stay away from there.

The best way to get out of a ticket is to postpone the court date to another date. Show up to court on the new date and you have a 50/50 chance of the cop not showing up. If he does then just plead guilty and go to traffic school.

I went 80 on a 40 and my ticket was $320. Worse of all, they wouldn't let me go to traffic school for that one. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. Could have been worse. I could have lost my license. Welcome to L.A. We certainly know how to roll out the red carpet.

Either the cop did not clock you or You are one LUCKY guy.

BTW, got a ticket many years ago going to UCSB. I got the ticket inside the campus. I was leaving in Santa Barbara and had to drive all the way to Ventura to attend traffic school. I sent the traffic school certificate to DMV as per instructions and STILL GOT the ticket in my record.
What I am trying to say, is that going to traffic school is not a definite guarantee that it will not appear in your record. Maybe the DMV clerk was new at the job, but I got screwed anyhow by the bastards.

Starting Monday, i have to make that ventura to SB drive everyday. of course at the worse possible times 8 to 4. Construction sucks when it doesnt start at 7am

Sounds like a coinsidence(sp?. Thats cool. Yeah they just got done building a new bleachers and installing lights for the football and track area, they are remodling the school and building a theatre. It's a nice area, just don't like the cluster fuck of traffic.
