metric schmetric, once a major mars project is funded and developed in a tree huggin metric lovin country you can do it all in metric, but til then....teh US system is the system for the universe.

Though to be fair it was done on the SERIOUS cheap and was actually very advanced (just the IP from the instruments is worth alot).

i think it would be a great idea, a great achievement for people in general. some of the stuff we are doing now i think is even amazing, like the cassini-huygens mission, first time you can hear sound from another object in the solar system!
