mark duh
dekoze is right up there but sometimes he loses me with some of the shit he plays
U can never go wrong with Deko-Ze, Addy, or Manzone & Strong
Mark Oliver, without a doubt...
He's someone who could have "made it" on the international stage after a few years of his Guv residency, I'd bet...I'm glad he's chosen to stay with us here in Toronto every saturday night instead
honourable mention for Deko-ze...and recently, Sydney Blu.
Mark Oliver...
This man is a DJ's DJ!
9hrs solo sessions non-stop for the past 8 years @ GUV..Surpassing the so called SUPERSTAR Guests again and again...
Playin' music that's so fresh and versatile Every Single time...

Kenny is the King.
Deko-Ze playing dirty tribal/house has never disappointed either.
T.dot has so much talent it's hard to pick just one...if i'm pressed, i'd go for Kenny though. The man knows how to throwdown !
everyone on that list is simply amazing and just goes to show you that the quality of talent we have as residents can easily hold down this city without the help of headliners.......but my favourite's gotta be my man sean miller, and i can't wait for his XXXtended set!
Mark Oliver, without a doubt
Is dekoze that big black dood who spun late late night at LOL? if so, he was friggin amazing and very crazy! He has my vote if I am correct with who he is.
Other than that, I have only seen Mark Oliver and MAnzone and Strong, and they are all entertaining.

The one and only Mark Oliver....this man is a God and the reason I'm here today....Skill, talent, class, charisma u name it and he's got it....Undoubtedly one of the best in Canada if not the best and rite up there with the likes of Armin and the rest in my books .....If there's anybody in TO who can spin any genre with perfection its Mark.....
Thanks Mark for all the hard work and keeping trance alive and kickin in TO..
Very tough between Deko-ze and Manzone & Strong...but Deko-ze, he just gets my body moving! Runner ups for sure, MO and Evil P
First of all, I thought I was going to be answering about a pub...
Secondly, thanks a lot for the music. I'm at work and the speakers were up! D'oh!
My vote has to do with not only their talent, but their people skills.
Having been personally blown off by a few of them upon my return to the club scene(when I only wanted to re-introduce myself or give them kudos on a great night!), I chose Kenny Glasgow, who not only kicks it, but has been totally awesome to me every time I've run into him!

How the F**k is Mark Oliver leading the poll?
All he does is copy other big artist's styles.
I mean he is ok for a resident (GUV) DJ but that is all he will ever be.
I think DE-KOZE and Kenny have have a chance to break out plus they have an image too!

I have to say that Mark does not "copy" anyone. In fact often he hasnt heard an artist in awhile and ends up playing better than that artist. IMO internationals tend to stick to the hits more and more. Not that mark doesnt play hits sometimes because you have to when you are playing 9 hours, but he goes way beyond that into stuff that no one else in the city will touch. He is either at par oy above many of the international guests that come through.
Actually come to think of it the "copy" thing should be taken as a complement because it shows that Mark knows what he is doing if he is being compared to people who can buy a new luxury car after one night of spinning.
I always thought Mark was world class even before i knew him. Even 10 years ago before The Guvernment his mixing skills outshone most others in Toronto which is why he was hand picked to play at Toronto's biggest venue.

Same here, I ain't got thing but respect for Mark Oliver. He's a legend in Tdot and always will but it just seems for me that when he's spinning at Guv, sure he's dropping bomb after bomb but the DJ booth is high up in the Guv rafters and I kinda feel far removed from him, you don't really see him at all except for just the upper half, whereas with Deko-ze or the other house DJs at System, CZ the booth is more accessible to the crowd. For example the last time I went to CZ it was for Deko-ze's extended set and because of a friend I was able to chill behind the DJ booth for acouple of hours and watch
Deko-ze work his magic. How much closer can you get to a DJ than that than being right behind him watching him do his thing. My respect/adoration has gone up for him by tenfold just because of that. Deko-ze was and will always be my favourite Toronto local.
