well since i went to china and bought some green tea, i'd have to say it's green tea right now. i'm somewhat getting into teas and the such. what i'm drinking now is mao feng green tea from huang shan. online chinese tea websites have rated it one of the top ten as far as truth is concerned i don't know.

Posted by MERLIN on Jun-06-2005 02:56:

oh and i drink it hot. and i don't like the japanese green tea with roasted rice. wth man, taking away the green tea aroma and taste with roasted rice.

Don't like coffee.

Love tea though. Generally PG Tips or Earl Grey, with one maybe two small spoonfuls of sugar, and a touch of milk.

Posted by Earthsnail on Jun-06-2005 04:28:

I HATE TEA.

Coffee is very good though

Anything by the brand Don Francisco is good.

Coffee - Black with 2 Sugar... Tea... All kinds maybe 1 sugar depending on how bland it is but I love passion tea

Posted by Aquarian on Jun-06-2005 04:42:

Call me weird but I hate drinking anything warmer than room temperature. I love iced tea though. When I worked night shifts I'd force myself to drink giant coffees to stay awake, and I hated every sip of it.

haha! OHhh damn, I used to have this hot tea addiction. Jasmine hot tea. Bullet tea. Darjeeling. Yunnan. Earl Grey. You name it. It was like crack. Our cabinets are still stuffed with blocks of teas. I love Wild Oats, a natural foods store where we purchase them all. This only reminds me to go there sometime this week!

But anyways, the addiction is coming on strong again. First, it was Thai tea. Really, really sweet, syrupy, half n half or maybe coconut milk? Orangish in color. Thennnnn... I went out to a nice restaurant w/ friends last week. I ordered tea and they ground up fresh mint in the glass. My taste buds went estatic. Now, I drink tea allll the time again.

This is getting too long. I'm almost done. I had a teacher tell me the best tea in the world was from Sri Lanka. It was a Salinese tea. Do you know what he's talking about Astro or Jackson?

I like my coffee and tea like I like my men. Strong and black with a tinge of exotic.

Tea Genmaicha makes greentea with toasted brown rice in it thats awesome.

Smoked Terry tastes like dirt and is my favorite tea ever.

Ginger with yerba matte rocks, also heals liver thank God.

Coffee...I make a pot and then pour the coffee back through the system and make it into slurge. Keeps you up.

for espresso im all about sumatran, but only when its local roasters who know not how to burn the shit out of it, or be like the big guys who like to under roast it so it lasts forever.

got to get to 2nd crack so its all buttery and delicious!@

Tea: usually plain or with two sugar
Coffee: usually 2x2 or three sugar and 2 milk.

Posted by Jackson on Jun-07-2005 19:41:

I had a really nice tea earlier, Jasmin Green Tea...but i wanted it sweeter so i added a tea spoon of honey...Really Nice
Estella, sorry i have no idea
I've been without caffine for two days...this is a big deal for me since i've had tea everyday without fail since i was about 8 (Thanks mum and dad )

I've never heard of Salinese tea - Maybe someone mistakenly said "Ceylonese" tea, instead of just "Ceylon tea". But I do agree that the best black tea comes from Sri Lanka (formerly called Ceylon). The only commercial brand tea-bags that are 100% Ceylon tea, that I know of is Dilmah. But I usually buy leaf tea from tea shops.

OHhhh, it's black? I'll have to water that down.

But thanks! yeah, it was probably Ceylonese. I'll look for the leaf tea at Wild Oats and if not I'll try finding Dilmah this weekend.
