actually.. he was involved in some of the techno ones for sure.. (not like there were many anyway, only a handful.. Adam Jay and a few others)
My roomie called 'Dave' to confirm just now and that's when he said it would only be Kenny Glasgow this weekend.

It's hard to keep track of who is coming and going between the clubs.. residents like Yaz, Driss or Eddy Jasmin..and I remember even Mick had a stint back at Aria for a bit too in between.

I wish Circus would finally start bringing in headliners regularly, I know they don't *need* to with their current situation.. but it sucks ass the one booking I look forward too in months goes out the window. I was anxious to see Liebing at Swirl.. but as far as techno bookings go, he had been here less then 2 months before anyway!

still stand by my claim for the last 2 years now that Toronto is the techno booking capital of Canada.. ack.

ya, for one my friend who was *supposed* to come up for Siegling this weekend, now she's obviously not going to bother coming.
ah well.. we'll find good times and techno in Toronto. Though I haven't missed a Canada Day in Ottawa for so long!

I know Martin I thought that was you, I just couldn't remember who else..

would have been soooo nice to hear a live pa that night though eh?

re:

;-)

In fact Micheal wasn't involved in Circus before 2005.
But his friend Ben (promotor at ex sona) was taking care of the schedule before i left in september 2004

Posted by Kate Manus on Jun-07-2005 17:53:

you mean promoters don't always tell the truth!!??

the shock the horror...

anyway, I trust you Martin on that. still be nice if he ever put together another half decent Arrival. wishful thinking on my part... soo many great names have been on those past lineups.

No no i'm not saying anything like that... I just say what I recall. And I recall Micheal still being at Gravity in November 2004.

In fact nobody really did any booking before I left... Eddy was doing the schedule, and at one point Ben and Steve Lalla gave a hand for Fridays... but it wasn't very clear.

But Circus never was about bookings and Big names.... it's full and it's beautful. It's even surprising that they are doing big bookings recently, cause they never really needed it.

I should have been more clear.. I wasn't really commenting on that aspect (timeline), it was just other random stuff.

I only wish they booked headliners so I can at least rationalize Aria's downward spiral when it comes to consistently being 'busy'.
But that's because I'm at afterhours for the bookings 95% of the time, not whichever club has the party happenin'.

So what's the final lineup for GP weekend at Circus?? I would go to Infected, but I know it will be crowded like Tiesto last year. Personally I'm treated better at Circus than at Aria...So I guess Circus it is then
