If you sit there & stare you look like a creepy pervert that cant get none so they stare like a tard.

i agree with the girls...staring is what creepy guys do. the kind that haven't been laid ever and get a bone on over any piece of ass that walks by...its ok to check out though...

Posted by Inertia on Jun-07-2005 21:01:

well, i guess it just depends on how subtle you are. a girl can't really tell if you're looking at her or just casually looking in her direction. it's a thing about facial expression, and sort of attitude towards it.

if i'm looking at a girl, and she happens to look my way, it almost normally results in her not even noticing, or maybe some eye contact or whatnot. some of my male acquantances, on the other hand, are fucking rude, to a point where it embarasses me to be with them at times. they'll be burning a hole through the girl's clothes with their eyes, re-position their necks for better points of view. not only in clubs, but in restaurants, at a store, whatever. i've stopped going out with these guys, just no class.

in the end, there's a difference between staring and checking out, as everyone has said. i guess you can check out as much as you want, without the need of it getting rude.

I had a gig in the Dominican in April and the women we met told me that Dominican guys can be a bit overbearing at times, which would explain the staring at women like meat, if you ask me. I think it's just a more sexually aggressive culture, generally. Granted there are exceptions, including yourself, but the majority push things harder than people in the states do.

Posted by vrahnos on Jun-07-2005 21:27:

i'm delicate, i give them one look in their eyes and thats it...
i never look again (except when they dont see me)

Posted by medinaM5 on Jun-07-2005 21:35:

the length of the stare and how obvious it is depends on how crackin the female is

...and yet ANOTHER reason why i don't like being associated to my fellow countrymen...

you had a gig down here? a DJ gig? where exactly, santo domingo, or up at a beach?

Posted by Aiwendil on Jun-07-2005 21:38:

i hope prolikewhoa doesn't mind staring. i just stared at her boobies for an hour or two.

Its only sexually agressive when you start to whip your cock out!

I played in Santa Domingo, at a pier. I guess it was right across from the first point Colombus landed at. An old building that had been a prison at one point. I played with Iio and a couple of other Colorado djs. But a festival, that was supposed to happen the week before, fucked it all up by having Sandra Collins for free. It was April 16th.

My old roommate used to always tell me and my friends that we should just "grab her pussy", when referring to women. I'd respond, "That's alright. You've got your style, and I've got mine.".

Posted by RandomGirl on Jun-07-2005 22:44:

It depends on the way it's done. Sometimes when guys check me out, I feel like a piece of meat. Try and be tasteful; don't lean back and do the elevator and then murmer "mmmmm mmmmm". That right pisses me off, and the next asshole who does it is going to get an earful.

If you're just looking, whatever.

Posted by Vlad on Jun-07-2005 22:45:

When I was in DR I threw on a mixed CD that I made and had fun with it, when I was done, alot of the Dominican native's told me I should try to get a gig at Abacuss (sp?). In any case, they were cool peoples.

Posted by Carriegsxr6 on Jun-07-2005 22:45:

We dont mind, only if you're cute. and then we may stare back.

Posted by squirrelly on Jun-07-2005 22:54:

I don't like to be stared at, so I try not to wear anything to get much attention.

Posted by Refinnej on Jun-07-2005 23:05:

A glance or a little smile and eye contact I can take but staring or breaking your neck to look is too much...that will illicit dirty looks from me no matter what age or what you look like.

But then I don't dress revealingly with my cheeks hanging out or the twins bobbing around.

Posted by AcidGlow-Trance on Jun-07-2005 23:08:

I love to make eye contact with woman followed with a soft smile.

ahh shit. bad day indeed. that was the Mardi Gras type festival in an open street. i didn't go out that day because i had to stay home, it was my sister's bday, so i had to be all bored with her and her dumbass friends.

the festival did suck tho. i called up a couple of friends of mine to swing by my house so we could chill a bit and they took me up on the offer, rain and excess amount of... well, shitty people, made the festival crap.

tough luck. you also seem to have gotten somewhat newbies to our, emm, testy scene, as promoters. which DJ were you? Kostas or Etienne? (going by what the promoters posted on a website, which now sounds even dodgier, as their saying the DJs were from South Africa and Greece, respectively, and you say they were from colorado. heh)

you spin trance i assume?

Vlad, yeah, abacus lounge. the only club we have here, at all. we do have more, of course, but that's the only EDM specific one, sadly. it's decent, has gone a bit downhill, as of late, but still has it's good nights.

... and this is what you call a thread hijack.

Neither. Kostas didn't go. Etain is a girl, originally, from South Africa that lives in Colorado (hence Colorado dj), and myself and Trajikk played, although we weren't on the marketing (note: this really pissed me off). My friend is a promoter here, and has hooked up with a guy named Angel out there to help promote some events. Trajikk and I, actually, paid our flights out there to play. Everything else was covered, but I was a bit disappointed to not have a flyer to put on my wall, and with the other event and the rain, the turnout was pretty shitty.

I used to play more trance, but I play more progressive and progressive with a melodic edge to it. Some may call it prog trance, but I beg to differ. The promoter almost kicked me off the decks for following Iio (trance) with more melodic/trancy tracks, early in my set. I played Mr. Brightside, Swing to Harmony, and something else that was melodic, fully intending on bringing it darker (I hear they like it darker and nastier there). He came up and I about punched him in the face. The rest of the set I played dark and banging prog, but I didn't enjoy myself as much as I would have had he not fucked with me. The crowd seemed into the set, and I was on fire on the decks, but I had to fake smile up there.

I won some money gambling and met some cool people, as well as buying some nice clothes, which saved the trip for me, but I have mixed feelings about gigs in the DR now.

Vlad - I heard about Abacus, while we were there, but we didn't make it there. I think my friend Trajikk played there for an event though.

yes, that is always hot when that happens. along with a little bottom lip bite.

Posted by metalgearsolid on Jun-08-2005 01:16:

wait what do you think when you stare at a girl becasue her ass crack is showing. They get upset sometimes i forget where iam. How about this.

There was this girl in my school who i think i saw in homemade porn. So i stared at to examine her body. She one day decided to get her boyfriend and he beat the crap out of me. Than he asked why was i staring. I told him cuz i saw her in porn with another girl.

Was that an asswhoping i really deserved? maybe i just should've asked but wouldnt that have been rudeer to do??
