Finally Pink said it!!! EDM (all types) changes.. That is the beauty of it!! If it was all mass produced then Tiesto would be Justin Timberlake and G&D would be the next big boy band!! So with the change comes a change in the people who listen to it. Personally my favorite years for the music was 99 and 2001. Does that mean that I do not listen to anything but that. Hell no.. That would make me a person who lacked depth. So just because it is Sunday and I am at the beach chillin after a long night, pop in some house, I am now in trance exile?!? I have to say that is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. If your case is that you just do not like the people who listen to something else other then trance because "their friends do and that is peer pressure and peer pressure is wrong", then I have to ask you how you first started to learn about trance. Most likely it was from a friend who was listening to it and you started to after awhile. So that would make you a poser to the country music forum you were on before you got into trance. In the end, I do not think that anything is lost by people listening to the other types of EDM and furthering the progressive movement. If anything, I think it makes the future of the genre exciting. Just my thoughts!!

+1........everything comes and goes(cycle)it will re-invent itself and be back full force,i agree with a lot of you,not too many quality trance coming out,compared to 99-01......my .02 cents

I came here because trance was a form of EDM that I loved. Still to this day trance is my first love and always will be. Like many others have said, peoples musical tastes mature as mine have. I've come to love many genres {trance still being my favorite}. However I don't listen to trance like I did 3-4 years ago. That doesn't mean I still don't love it, or listen to it, because I do. Just a question for all the people that hate on prog house, did you guys know that the progressive house sound as we know today formed from the early trance sound? Guys like Sasha, Digweed, Seaman, Warren were all playing a pure form of trance in the early 90's. I still don't understand why people classify prog house as a subgenre of house. It should be it's own genre in itself. Anyways I'm getting off topic, the reason I'm still here is because I've met many great people from this forum. This forum for the most part is a community of people that are into EDM and not just trance which is why I love this site.
