I really don't care what alter-ego you've assumed for the night as long as the music is good. Mainstream Djing seems to care more about outward appearances than sound, imo. I guess in some ways the term Dj is getting out-dated, since a lot people are switching to progs these days, although a hard drive is tecnically a disk.

this thread made me think about when i was hangin out at a Bad Boy Bill show in seattle a few weeks ago. David Garcia who is a house DJ from San Francisco was opening for him and when the MC announced to the crowd to "give it up for DJ David Garcia", David chimed right in and you could hear him on the mic telling the promoter quite sternly "IT'S NOT DJ DAVID GARCIA, IT'S JUST DAVID GARCIA!!!!!!!!!". I think we know how David feels 
Man, all this talk of Raggy Dolls... makes me kinda scared. I was already spinning when my sister used to watch them.
Man I feel old he he.

It's not big and it's not clever). Oh and don't think that I think (keeping up?) that my name's any good. It was actually once voted the worst username on a messageboard, but hey. It's my real name and I can't think of anything cool, currently waiting for that all-changing life experience which will scar me for life with a crazy nickname, which, for some reason, I'll decide to use as an artist name. What can you do... Of course having that on the start of your name can be restricting... it kind of forbids you from producing (as it says you're a DJ, not a producer, surely?), unless you were just sitting in the corner mixing away while someone else was writing the tune... or maybe people should start calling themselves Producer I hope you can see where I'm going here... mental hospital? You appear to have missed from the mocking tone and silly comments throughout my post that it really isn't supposed to be 100% serious, I wasn't really pissed off just felt like having a rant... no point in doing it if you're not gonna do it properly.
As I said, this is artist names here, I don't care what your mates call you. I'm assuming here you don't just intend to use "DJ" as your artist/DJ name... that really would be lame.
Oh, and for the record the idea came to me the other night while I was banging YOUR missus.
