Just looking at some hotels on trip advisor by user ratings...

oh my...

Some like Ritz Carlton really need no explanation/introduction but I really like this one...

My parents swear by the Riu. Apparently you can get them in the summer for $650 all inclusive.

Ive heard nothing but great things about the Riu. Just keep in mind that most of these resorts are quiet but there are all kinds of clubs and booze cruises you can take nearby.

Yeah that's what I see...and these hotels are locatd right in the middle of all the fun...the concierge at the hotel can arrange you a vip entrance and line bypass to all the clubs and etc...hhmm...maybe I should go high class on this one...I mean come on look how amazing this looks...

I've stayed at Oasis Cancun twice, definitely a younger crowd there. Resort is nice, food is OK.

Both times I've bought packages off www.selloffvacations.com for less than $800/week all inclusive (I've been in November, and May).

My aunt and uncle went to the Iberostar Parasio Maya (Mayan Riviera). Apparently it's brand new (1 year old) and from the photos it looked bonkers good. 5+ star.

100% agreed. I have family there and all they ever talk about is partying it up in Mar Del Plata and Punta Del Este. I was there when I was younger; only good memories.

Ive been to mar del plata a few times and punta del este last year. Punta is bloody expensive but great if you can afford it. Mar Del Plata is cheap as hell and you can hear international djs on the beach if you go at the right time not to mention locals like hernan and dj dero!!!

if you want to have a truley AMAZING time in Mexico, without giving into the 5 star resort deal, and can handle a bit of time away from McDonalds and pretty much anything typically "north american" head to Zipolite... with maybe a side trip to th Palenque Mayan Temples where you can pick the most amazing mushrroms EVER. Zipolite is a small beach lined with cabanas you can rent VERY cheaply, the food is amazing and cheap and the people.... AMAZING.

Once you go there you will NEVER feel comfortable in a resort again.

they are the yummy eating kind that grow in jungle and glow in the dark and locals sell you jars of them soaked in honey so you can start the day off right and tripping when you pour it on your 2 peso pancakes.....

Been to SCANCUN twice! stayed at the Tucancun the first time...its not bad...too many older Americans..but we went during Reading wk so a lot of young cdns...BUT i have to admit last Feb for my grad trip we went to Oasis Cancun...i had the time of my life, lots a stuff to do and tons of young crazy party ppl...Oasis is also good any other time of the year!!!
