We got there at 10ish but they didn't let anyone in til 10:30pm...It was great to hear Deko-ze opening up the Koolhaus and he was his usual rockin' self ...We walked around and had no trouble getting around throughout the nite...We mostly hung out in the Koolhaus & heard a bit of I.M....We ran into Spam and had a blast but around 3 me & my pal left because we we're both tired so I didn't get a chance to hear Christopher Lawrence ...All in all it was a pretty fun nite.

Decided to attend this at the very last moment.
Got in at around 11pm.
Stayed in the KH for 95% of the night.
Although I didn't see many TAs out this time, I did meet a few new ones. It was great partying with you all.
The music was good, as I expected. My favorite set was by IM, luckily I still had some energy left for CL afterwards.
The whole place felt sorta...empty this time. It took a long time for the place to me moderately full (~1-ish) and it emptied out quite a bit at around 4-ish. The guv was more packed, but not quite the usual sardine can (could move around easily). Although, I did find the place hot as hell (something I'd expect when it's packed to the max, with drips from the ceiling etc.)
I finally ran out of energy in and around 5, spent some time in the guv's smoking room (much nicer now that the roof is off) before taking off.
So, overall I had a great time and it was just what I needed to relax before crunch time for my exam next week

We spent most of the night in the Skybar. Later on we went down to the Drink, and I decided to see what Oscar was fucking up in the Guv, and when I heard some nasty beats we went down there to chill and hunt for some honeys (yeah right).

Although, Oscar played about a minute of the Milk and Sugar mix of Pump Up The Jam, went right into Gian's Crowd is Jumpin Remix, then into some sick dirty edit of Sweet Dreams. yes!

I hit the pillow around 5 so I could be up for the boat.

Ok, my official review.

Got there around 11...had line bypass, but didnt bother cause the regular line was half as long! Met Walkindude in the line. Got in and hung out by the bar for about an hour. Ran into MaxTO, Irishaddict, JoinT and Moral Hazard. Nice to meet you guys

Deko-Ze was tearing things up, but I just wanted him to be done so IM cound play! And play they did!! Wow their performance was amazing! My 4th time seeing them, and they kick my ass harder each time! Tunes I remember them playing include: Deeply Disturbed, Radio Schmatio, Muse Breaks RMX, Im the Supervisor, Cities of the Future, Meduzz, and Frog Machine. And that feaking guitarist was wicked!

My first time seeing Christopher Lawrence WILL NOT be my last. He was damn awesome. Played some tracks you can really move to! He finished around 6:30 (I think) then we took off cause our driver was asleep on his feet.

Those freakin flag guys hit me and my GF twice.

Anyways wicked night...see you all at Dan's BBQ next weekend

PEACE

I went to Ultra Spin 8 for the soul purpose of seeing Lawrence but I.M. stole the show for me. I don't think I have danced that hard in years....I need a walker to get around because my feet are bruised. The beats in KH kept me there all night. I wish I had gone over to Guv to check some of the other DJs.

Now it is time to rest up for Sasha and Lawler.....I can't wait.

Came about one from kool hause entrance at the end of deko-ze's set was sooo psyched to hear Infected Mushroom who rocked it , kept me dancing so hard. Met some awsome ppl during that set one of my highlights. Went outside for a smoke and to get some air, it was soo nice outside that we just danced from there not to mention Lawrence had caused my feet to keep on moving , surprisingly the guv main room wasnt as ridicolously packed. saw the acid lounge which i never saw before the blue was bugging me out. but overall great night. Shout outs to joint and lala with the crowd i didnt think i would of saw anyone familiar

For some reason, all gigs organized in KH end up being top notch....Maybe its due to the extra room that KH has to offer or just the vibe n sorroundings.....whatever the case, this event was no different....Deko zee was at his usual best...throwed down some sick beats to get the night going and then got harder near the end of his set......IM were quite impressive...their live performance totally rocked the KH and it almost looked liked a one Man show eventhough 3 people were involved.....

CL was the man who did the most damage IMO....started a little slow but then swiftly picked up the pace and took the Music to another level....'Cold storage' was one of the tracks that I've wanted to hear inside a club for a long time and CL mixed it flawlessly....After his set ended around 6.30, went back to the main room and found Mark to be on a mad rampage LOL....

All in all a great event...hope everybody had a super time..

P.P.P.S Now I gotta decide between seeing Sasha at the Guv or Johan Gielen at Republik next weekend. Any suggestions?

Two very diff styles, I would expect you should make a call based on your own preference...

Gielen is more trancey pantsy, dutchy, trumpety, synthy, dancy

Sasha is more winding, progressive, epic, mind fuckey (drugy)

Dancing Dude

Simply amazing!!!!!! I still cant begin to describe this night with any intelligent words. I was a bit apprehensive about the line up in Kool House; Deko-Ze, IM and Christopher Lawrence. I mean going from house to techno to trance is quite a different arrangement of genres which, I didnt think would network well, but man was I wrong. Each dj was at their absolute best and pumped/destroyed the crowd beyond believe. Deko-Ze set-up IM perfectly which led to the ideal combo of IM and CL. I still cant get over it.

Finally meet up with some awesome TAS that Id been dying to meet at Kool Hause + partied even harder with my friends (Top 40ers) that I thought would have been wining at 2 am to leave who partied right to the end.

To sum up it; a simply amazing night (although I wish my crew was all there ) Preppy Chick you rule I wish you would have stayed just a bit later though.

p.s I am pissed that I will miss Sasha and Steve cause Im getting all my wisdom teeth out this weekend.

I gotta be a little more conservative with my spending though.

Pretty good night. IM was just amazing. Full of hard and fast beats. We (gf and I) were front and centre during whole set. Just couldn't stop moving. One thing pissed me off though, there were way too many pushy people walking around centre. Oh, and the damn flag-waiving again. I swear for their whole set, I don't think I went through more 20-30 seconds without having someone jump into me without even giving a f***. Christopher Lawrence was ok, we didn't stick around for that too long. Went to the guv, met up w some friends, stayed till they booted us out in the morning. Amazing night.

What a night! I got there around 12:30 by myself, thank god i had line by pass, the normal line was HUGE! Thanks again John Walked into the KoolHaus and De-koze was dropping some dirty beats as always! I decided to make my way to the guv though as I was awaiting for Oscar g's set to begin.Mark was fuckin tearing it up as soon as i walked in. He was dropping dirty dark tribal madness and i was loving it! One of the last tracks he played before Oscar's set was till there was you - john creamer & stephane K remix! Pure dirtyness, i never get tired of hearing this song! Then the man Oscar came on and just started dropping bombs on the packed guv crowd! He played exactly what i expected, just filthy dirty house music! I caught a bit of IM's set too, and they were wicked! had never seen them before and it was definately a delight! Spent a big part of the night in the drink/skybar too!! Felix was dropping some funky house beats for everyones pleasure!! All and all a wicked night, my second time at Guv, and definately won't be my last!!! See you all at Sascha/Lawler Nice meeting everyone!!
