when the XBox 360 comes out, it'll be the best system ever...

When both of them come out, my comp > ps3 + xbox 360...as always it's not worth getting systems since computers are usually ahead and easier to upgrade rather than getting a new system.

The solution? buy THEM ALL!!!

Its not like its that much money... I mean you can get both of these new systems for way cheaper than one nice computer... and most people who game already have a decent computer, or have enough invested in it that upgrades arnt super expensive.

Still stats wise, the PS3 is waaaay ahead of the 360.

Also, DjConfessions, how was MGS2 a let down? The story was greay IMO if you took the time to really think it over as you played.

umm if you buy parts at good prices it will be much worth it to get a comp, you can do a million more things with a comp than a system and games are free and arguing about which system is better is totally legit because why would you buy one when the other one is better?

my loyalty to the penguins makes me tempted to favor the PS3, regardles of how bitter I am about sony.

I would always got pissed off when kids said that the PSX had better gfx than the n64, it clearly didn't, a couple games that were on both systems looked better on the n64, but still, the general consensus was that the psx was superior.

I think it boils down to taste in games, general pholosophies about life, alliances to different companies. This is gonna be way too subjective for anybody ever be correct in saying one will own the other.

Personally I want to see the PS3 own the xbox, I hear that their system is linux-like, that their gfx api sort of resembles opengl, and I am friggin sick of all the kids who say linux is bad for gaming and that directx is the one and only worthy gfx api. That, and nvidia always had better linux support than ati did, and intel kinda pissed me off the way they design their chips to make high clock speeds possible so that people buy them instead, without realizing that the clock speed is sorta artificial, and it not the only thing about the processor that makes it compute faster.

So I am crossing my fingers for the ps3, more because I want to see microsoft and intel de-throned than because I think that the ps3 has shown us superior gameplay, because all we have seen so far are renderings, I need to see real people playing real games before I will make my opinion.

XBOX make better games than ps

Wow, a lot of you guys have not only taken the shit shovelled out by the marketing depertments of these companies with vigor but you're now spouting it out yourself like it's the gospal truth. The mind truely boggles.

imo, (and from some one who has never owned any console) the hardware specs are remarkably similar on both the new XBox and PS3 so at the end of the day it will (as it nearly always does) come down the quality of games produced for either system. And quality games WILL be produced for both.
