so it just goes to show what all those fools really know out there

They may have dumped it but it's played like every other day. Unfortunately I have to listen to 103 at work since I can't play my house and Adagio is played a lot and most recently "Tiesto's newest song" Lethal Industry. Like common now how far behind are they, I'd love to see Tony Monaco or Danny D at the Guv cuz then they know they aren't the hottest shit in Tdot

i hate z103 with a fuckin pashion. everything they play is shit, and if there is a good song they have a tendency to ruin it by letting all the gino's here it and when it reaches that point, it sucks the life right out of the song.

perfect example (deep dish - flashdance)

when i first heard this song at the beginning of last summer it was sooo awesome and had the crowd going and all the good clubs playing it. then z103 picks it up, it hits the main stream, dj danny d buys a copy, every gino thinks its great and it gets overplayed to the disgusting point where you don't like it as much anymore.

the other pet peeve is z103 saying they have a 'new song' plz, i don't know about hip hop crap, but whenever they pick up a trance/house type of song, its always months after any true fans have heard it. i hate when all the gino's are like, check out this new song that came out, meanwhile its been out for half a year, playing at the clubs and the whole bit, they just want to ruin it

This is how we know we dont have quality radio stations or quality people here:

Say Hello - Deep Dish - Dumped by 66%

Outta Control - 50 Cent - Pumped by 90%

Watch, 2 months down the road and it'll still be one of those 'summer club hits', while the people who dumped the song will swear they've never heard it before, and claim it's great.

+1

That's something I hate about songs and popularity. By the time you've overplayed the shit out of something then it becomes popular. Oh well there are always the remixes I guess.

Of course the kids are going to dump it now and pick up on it later. What the hell are they supposed to do when their friends aren't around and they don't know if it's cool to like it/dislike it just yet.

I'd rather not have the track overplayed to shit on the radio now too and have every little 12 year old Tiesto and Darude fan listening to it because it's popular.

I love how z103 can take a track that is known to 90% of the EDM clubbing population and 6 months later make it the only real trance song a 15 year old gino knows. Then he becomes the expert on all forms of electronic music as the CD single for Say Hello goes on his shelf next to Traffic and Sandstorm.

LMAO!!!

But honestly, the first time I heard Traffic on z103 (in the gym, I would never voluntarily listen to it) I swear it had been at LEAST a year and 1/2 since Tiesto first played it...AT LEAST! Now that's lame...

It's one of the biggest things I hate about pop culture, is this mob mentality of what becomes popular.

Like a TV show such as entertainment tonight calling a movie a 'blockbuster' before it's released, or hyping jessica simpson's new remake of 'these boots are made for walkin' a hit before it's out yet. Such gaul they must have to claim such things before the public decides. It's like what we find entertaining or like isn't even our choice anymore.

I can't decide what I find more appauling, the fact they can do this, or the fact the bulk of the public goes along with it.

In a world with so many different groups, so many different things people are judged on; clothes, religion, background, etc. what would you expect. Everyone just wants to fit in somewhere and a lot of people would rather be a clone than an individual it seams.

Sad but true.

Posted by jrmacca on Jun-16-2005 18:49:

even though they dumped it, it'll be on in a couple of weeks and everyone will be requesting it.

"c-c-can you play th-that n-new deep dish song. omg, it's sooooooooooo hot."

Posted by muzzybear on Jun-18-2005 02:23:

They also dumped "days go by" by dirty vegas.

They also pick favourites when it comes to their distributors. Z103 doesn't play fair.
