I don't see THAT much diffrent between Hip-hop and trance, in both i don't usually care about the vocals...in hip hop i want the main lyrics to be catchy or something like that.
like right now im listening to: Gucci Mane Feat. Young Jeezy & Boo - ICY(remix) and that song is like a good trance track for me i don't care about the descriptions of his dick in the track...
I like the beats (but I am a music lover in general), but I am sick and tired of hearing people talk shit and it seems to be the same thing over and over again just rephrased a bit differently. I was ok when I was in junior high but I guess you grow up and get tired of all that blah blah blah bling bling I got gunz and ill shoot your ass shit. I wont even listen to anything made after 2003.
yay first post lol.
anyways, i was really anti-rap for a few years now until recently. yeah, their lyrics can sometimes make no sense or piss you off because all they talk about is their wealth and female dogs, but i mean, sometimes i just feel good when i listen to some of that stuff in the car. i love cruising my houston streets with some bass on and whatnot, and what better to do it with than with rap music. Yeah, im a Swisha House fan, love screw, fave artists include Youngbloodz, lil' jon, Mike Jones, and a few others.
so anyways, i dont take their music personally, i just drive to it =P
i like the words.
...

edit:: no i dont mind rap some of its catchy... some is plain annoying but 50 cent usually has good (but overplayed) stuff.
I love the instrumentals to many hip hop and rap songs.
And I used to love hip hop,but now its all been done.
