That Album is the shit! it sounds like they went way deeper into the production of their tracks than on their previous album, it's for sure a must own.

I don't know if anyone has picked up Sasha's new CD Fundacion but it's pretty sweet. Seems a bit more uptempo than involver and airdrawndagger too. Anyone into sasha's music should atleast give it a listen. Especially tracks 9. Holden & Thompson Come To Me (Last Version) and 10. Holden & Thompson Come To Me (Club Mix). Sasha never ceases to amaze me.

Some truly classic songs on this double CD. I prefer Trisha Yearwood's version of "How Do I Live".

I would have included Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart", All-4-One's "I'm Sorry", K-Ci And Jojo's "How Could You" and Boyz II Men's "End of The Road" but otherwise, noice if you're feeling soppy or heart broken.

I give it 3 snoopies out of 5.

absolutely love that track

trance nutter: i still listen to dont look now at least twice a week

erratik: "right then i knew it babe, how could you do it babe? how could you tear my poor heart in two". i love anything to do with jodeci, which raises the inclusion of jodeci "lately". one of the greatest breakup r&b tracks ever (in my mind)

but back to the cds
A Tribe Called Quest "Midnight Marauders" (1993)

i know most people here despise rap, but these guys are something totally different to the more notable rappers of the time (tupacs, snoop, biggie etc.), sort of a chilled back representation of hiphop. the one thing that i love about this group is q-tip, the boy can rap. oh and to everyones surprise, these guys avoid swearing, and you rarely hear the word nigga (except in "sucka nigga" but its more a dis)

tracks of note
02-stir it up (steve biko)
03-award tour
07-we can get down
09-clap your hands
10-oh my god

proceed to flame my ass but only if youve actually listened to it

nath knows what im talkin about

Various - Respect Is Burning Presents: Respect To DJ Deep

Format: CD , Mixed
Country: France
Released: 2001
Genre: Electronic
Style: House, Deep House
Credits: DJ Mix - DJ Deep

Tracklisting:

1 K.C.Y.C. - I'm Not Dreaming (Media Mix) (5:06)
2 Logic - The Warning (4:57)
3 Osunlade - Cantis a Ochun & Oya (Frankie Feliciano Remix) (5:58)
4 Sun Orchestra - Driftin (7:17)
5 Kimara Lovelace - Misery (Lil' Louis Extended Club & Harmony Mix) (6:38)
6 Titus - Don't Worry About Me (Dino & Terry Vocal Mix) (7:12)
7 Little Louie Vega - Life Goes On (Dance Ritual Mix) (6:33)
8 Little Louie Vega - Elements Of Life (Dance Ritual Mix) (8:07)

11 Blaze - How Deep Is Your Love (6:05)
12 Jerome Sydenham And Kerri Chandler - Winter's Blessing (6:44)
13 Needs - Brother (Original Vibe) (4:10)

This CD from DJ Deep is brilliant from start to finish. There is no cheese and no filler - just quality deep house tunes to get you moving. The mix begins with the moody, piano-laden melodies of "I'm Not Dreaming" and this vibe continues throughout the CD. This mix begins at a slow pace with the first few tunes but noticeably picks the tempo in the second half.

The mixing is almost seamless and this mix flows beautifully. The tunes are funky, jazzy, soulful, deep and just plain cool! The highlights of the CD include Little Louie Vega - Elements Of Life (Dance Ritual Mix, with smooth female vocals, and Lost Tribes Of Ibadan, The - Avareh, which definitely has some nice African tribal influences.

Overall, I give this CD 10/10 . This is a perfect CD to chill to, to wake up to or to listen to before you head out.

So funky you can carve it!

The White Stripes- Get Behind Me Satan

Raw, blues tinged rock at it's absolute finest. Jack White is seriously brilliant; The White Stripes the best band out there at the moment.

3 lasers out of 5

John OO flemming's new "White label Republic" 2cd's of something very very good. Yeah it's very psy. But the more you listen the more you think, omg!

1. Intro/Tokyo
2. City Girl - Kevin Shields
3. Fantino - Sebastian Tellier
4. Tommib - Squarepusher
5. Girls - Death In Vegas
6. Goodbye - Kevin Shields
7. Too Young - Phoenix
8. Kaze Wo Atsumete - Happy End
9. On The Subway - Brian Reitzell & Roger J Manning Jr
10. Ikebana - Kevin Shields
11. Sometimes - My Bloody Valentine
12. Alone In Kyoto - Air
13. Shibuya - Brian Reitzell & Roger J Manning Jr
14. Are You Awake? - Kevin Shields
15. Just Like Honey - The Jesus & Mary Chain

If you need a cd to chill to after a long day at work or a wild night out, this one's worth checking out.

Alone In Kyoto by Air is a stand out, but the ambience is carried across the entire album quite well.

Anybody who has seen the movie will immediately recall the scenes that are tied to each musical piece as well as the emotions associated with each scene.

5 suntory out of 5. lip them!

I don't listen to anything other than EDM

Right now, I've been listening to these CDs:

Balance 005 - James Holden
Balance 008 - Desyn Masiello
Renaissance presents James Zabiela - Utilities
Dave Seaman - This is Audio Therapy

Utilities is soo groovy I usually have either Utilites or Balance 008 playing at home and when I'm crusing in my car, I have Balance 005 cranked up

tool: 10,000 days

well it was with awesome surprise that i found out a new tool album was to be released today. tool (or maynard\'s side project, a perfect circle) is the only band that i can still get into. trance has totally changed what i want to hear in a song, thus though my old faves are still old faves, i dont like anything new thats released.
that said, i was lusting over yesteryear and a decent metal sound all week as i anticipated this release.

first thing i noticed was it sounds really reminiscent of their last album, lateralus. which isnt a bad thing, however i still much prefer AEnema. maynard\'s vocals in aenema just seem a bit more powerful & (importantly) melodic. anywayz, the overall sound is still very toolish and if you liked lateralus id be surprised if you didnt like this. on first listen there seemed to be lots and lots of music with sparce vocals, which i would prefer the opposite way round, as maynard is probably my all-time fave singer. still, the music is still pretty cool, if not as \"pretty\" as i would like. those wickedly sexy tool bass lines make a welcome return, and i still believe tool have some of the best sounding dark yet melodic thumping bass sounds out of any band ive heard.

tool have a real knack for building a track EDM style, which i realised recently ive always been addicted to. and maynard can go from 0-100 mph in a split second.

stand out tracks for me thus far are \"right in two\" & \"intension\". softer melodic metal for the win its a bit tough at work to get a full listen with all its glory (and volume) however. i expect this to be in the CD drive for a while as i give it listen after listen until i decide exactly how good i think it is.

still, even at this early stage i can say its more interesting and enjoyable than any non EDM ive heard in years. if youre a tool fan rush out and buy this puppy, mp3s are for selfish arseholes.

3.5 screwdrivers out of 5.

4. Adore - I:Cube
5. My Funny Valentine - Big Muff
6. Latazz - The Funky Lowlives
7. Morenito Feat. Clementine - Stephane Pompougnac

14. No Communication, No Love - Charles Schillings & Pompon
15. S.O.S. (The Sound Of Silence) - DJ Matsouka
16. What It Feels Like For A Girl (Stephane Pompougnac Remix) - Madonna

I've been trying to locate the htel Cstes collection of CDs for a while and it was only until I was in "That CD Shop" in Singapore on Saturday that I came across this "best of" compilation.

Having never heard any of the seven releases in the series I was impressed. Just the right mix of chilled out lounge/bar grooves. Talk about easy listening.

I particularly dig track 15, the remake of the old Simon And Garfunkel classic.

Unfortunately this is not a mix, unlike the individual cds in the series however I'm now even more interested in getting my hands on the rest of the CDs.

Autechre - Untilted (2005)

Tracklisting:
1. LCC
2. Ipacial Section
3. Pro Radii
4. Augmatic Disport
5. Iera
6. Fermium
7. The Trees
8. Sublimit

Imagine if robots, for some reason, tried to produce music just by entering incredibly complex algorhythms in a computer and that the end result was a pile of amorphous nonsense. Then imagine that this pile of nonsense actually turns out to be extremely awesome and listenable, at least once you can get over how unstructured and mechanical it sounds...

That's pretty much what this album is - cold, ambient and chaotic. Autechre's best since tri repetae++.

hardNRG8 - fish & ferris

normally id like to get into the nitty gritty of a CD/movie with my likes and dislikes, but this really wasnt worth it. the only way this CD could be any worse was if tiny razor blades shot out when you opened the case and tore your eyes out.

0 out of 5.
