haha, thank you for the cutting personal insights anomyst. Warcraft is going pretty good, nearly got my tier 1 set on my paladin and my priest is nearly 60.

If we don't talk about events what are we going to talk about? There are plenty of other forums for general trance talk. I think it's fine to post events / mixes as long as they make a worthwhile contribution to the scene and follow the forum guidelines and while I'll admit some event threads make me want to 
you have to expect to take everything said on the net with a grain of salt.

I think there is little to no music discussion, because people may be scared to throw down an opinion on why they like a track or dj, for fear of being berated by some people who consider themselves "jaded" and superior.
Even the people that have loved trance for ages, and still do, are at the point "oh its all crap these days, 99 is where it is at" So I guess that really puts a stop to fruitful music discussion, as its already been decided that its crap, unless it fits into a small window of time and from an elite few producers....
The only threads that aren't going to suffer from as much punishment are event and promotion threads.(they will still get taken out, just it doesnt really matter when its an event) And so we get an overwhelming proportion of promotional threads... People can just post the details up, and not have to defend any opinions or ideas...
For the sake of those that are working hard, the promotional stuff isn't such a bad thing, but it would be nice to moderate the one timers and new guys who just spam with shit tho...
myself: I will give shit to anyone really, probably because I'm bored, but also, im no longer interested in the club scene. My hatred for ravers has grown into a dislike for clubs and the people associated. Its all so shallow and meaningless. I'd rather focus now on my other music interests. (altho, i still like good techno a lil bit)

benny does alot outside of the forums, and has many people that he has helped out along the way.. He has been dorment on these forums for a while, but of late has reared his posting head.
at the end of the day, i dont know why ESCEE has launched a fullscale attack on benny about this.. he has said many things that are quite severe and are usually reserved for people like me or josh.. i know i dont deserve the slander, but its a slander of love.. josh does deserve the slander, and its not a slander of love, and benny well he hasnt acheived slander status yet ont he forums..
his hard work out side these forums should be respected to a point on here, however online and real life personalities differ in a huge way, hence Benny will have to build his online personality and not fallback on his awesome offline personality to suffice a similar reputation on the boards.
in closing - everyone breaks the rules about posting outside of the assigned threads.. and Benny should contribute more then just advertising threads online, and will continue to do so im sure...
but escee, have some respect for him due to his offline activities and hardwork

I think that gumble pretty much hit the nail on the head .. i agree with everything in his post bar the bit about a disdain for clubbing + the club scene .. The raver bit can stay and i also fancy a bit of techno.
Anomyst has been registered for longer than half the people here, and his 500 posts aren't all from shamelessly bumping his own threads like a certain other promoter Anomyst is also a punter and is out partying with the melb TA's (fuck i know him and i'm in Sydney)
