Yeah Cliff Martinez's haunting score is pretty awesome. He collaborates with Steven Soderbergh on The Limey and Traffic.

Cool, saw some soundtracks I haven't thrown on for a while.
I enjoyed the OSTs for an anime named "Samurai Champloo" .. smooth jazz with a hiphop overtone to it ..

Anything by John Williams (Star Wars, The Patriot, Superman, Indy, et al.) and Frank Herbert's Dune (I like Graeme Revell's use of ethnic Armenian instruments )

Any Wes Anderson movie has a clutch soundtrack.

As for trance, Ong-Bak Thai Warrior crazy thai infused techno tracks, Replacement killers (opening theme is sick)

the best score of all time IMO!

other good stuff by the big guys, (john williams, james horner, hans zimmer, danny elfman is also really good. and theres tons of really talented moviescorists who aren't well recognized)
