Keika & Rob's Review (RTT)

So the nite was simply amazing! After a long day of workin I left Hamilton and headed up to Oakville and met up w/ Rob (RTT) and we left for VIVA. The drive up was smooth and we ended up gettin there @ 10:30 to see Aaron, Lisa & Airwave (Laurent sp?) chillin outside the club...chilled in tha car & had some drink then entered the club.. the bouncers were a bit disorganized but we entered w/out hassels (tnx Aaron ) It was our 2nd time @ VIVA since the last party for NU-NRG and remembered how nice the laser light n sound system was..met up w/ Aaron & Airwave and then met up w/ the TA's. It was perfect that everyone ended up meetin at the same spot even tho no meeting spot was posted. Definetly nice meeting new and 'ol TA's...and we also got a wikkid pics of the TA crew as well...as that was goin on Aaron got tha nite started w/ his melodic set and then Tim doin a flawless set after (nice to finally meet u Tim & gf - sorry forgot ur name) then, the part of the night that we were all waiting for, AIRWAVE! the crowd waited paitently and so very excited for his appearance and for the needle to touch down...it was defintely a moment to remember cuz this is what everyone has been waiting for for such a long time. He spun a WIKKID set!!!

Word Up to all the TA's who were in attendence: DJ Celica, Ampz, Dennis Hahn, Tygon, Fayraree (u da man, Robbi G (another great party), Vertigo, Playa24_7, Bourgeois, and everyone else whos name i cant remember!

Fayraree cheers for coming to breakfast with me and my girl and my boy Carl watching the sun come up and eating a breakfast sandwich on a patio is something else!!

One last comment, WTF was going on with those water bottles....seriously, it was a two for one deal u get water and a little something for later! Torpedo!!!

Hope to see u all again at T-I-E-S-T-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a kick ass party. I've been to that Fire & Ice and all I can say is their stir fry's have ownage all over my taste buds!

I was checking through the event listings to see if the Cor Fijneman show had any more details because I really want to head to it, but the VIVA site has no info and the event listing has seemed to have disappeared in our section. Has the event been cancelled? If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.

It was awesome to meet you as well Keika and tell Rob (RTT) to get those pix ready...As for Tiesto I won't be there as I am saving some $$$ for WEMF...

No doubt in my mind that we will get schooled by him as to what the meaning of Choonage actually is. Looking forward to it.

It was a wicked night. We got there about 12:05am and I thought "frig, we missed all of Aarons set!". When I walked in though, Aaron was still spinning which was wicked!, and from what I heard, awesome set Aaron! All the TAs were up in the VIP area and way more than I thought would come out. The group shots that were taken looked wicked! Tygons set was awesome! Then he dropped Reversed Logic's song! It was great!

I said I would wait until I was finished my drink and dj_baby_tenshi was done hers, but I drank mine to fast and wanted to dance! lol! sorry! So I go down and half the TAs were up front loving it. Airwave was spinning an amazing set! The heat started going up in that place massive, and there was a couple points after crazy dancing streechs that I just needed to rest. Hard to breeth sometimes and so soaked in sweat lol. As dj_baby_tenshi said "WTF was going on with those water bottles....seriously, it was a two for one deal u get water and a little something for later! Torpedo!!!" hahaha! seriously, what the FACK was up with those bottles?? As small as a rev bottle, a good couple sips and its done! NOT COOL! We kept going to dance for awhile, then take a break outside, chill with everyone which was cool. I got on a stage thing for about 8 seconds before I was kicked off, but that was a wicked 8 seconds! LOL! I think its about time for me to chill out on dancing, so I dont get super soaked like crazy! Its time to relax lol. We left around 4am something I think and made our way home.

Leaving Viva, all super hungry, wanting to find a McDonalds quick lol. We made it to Milton before we turned off to find one. OMG, the best breakfast i've ever had from that place! lol! We ordered a crap load of food for each person, and oh so good! Nothing like eating a "good" breakfast and then going to sleep hehe.

fayraree! sorry we didnt say bye to you! we thought YOU left without saying bye, then rob tells us in the car that you went to the patio! I didnt have time to go check at the patio cause my friend rob would have snapped or somethin lol, so yea. TranceGrooves, thanks for the beer man! you were helping alot of people out with drinks, so thanks again! smuncky, good to finally meet you! To all the regulars and everyone, good to party it up with you all!

Special thanks to Aaron, Tim, and Matt who all set this up, and got the party hyped. Aaron, you worked your ass off man, glad it all worked out for ya.

Ya man, lovin' the towel action you always support, its a great idea... awesome of you to try to cool things off for your fellow TAs... way to go Fay! (i dont know how dance around w/ it tho, I think itd drive me nuts, i dont even like dancing around w/ my shirt tucked into the back of my pants--i should just stop bring them period to guv!)

LOL!!! SUP DAWG! Damn, this is the first time I've been online since yesterday morning; lots of catching up to do!

Thanks, Jem, yeah I actually find it a hassle too wearing that especially when it's fully drenched in sweat (and then I switch to my backup towel LOL! Yes, it actually exists!) I always find a convenient spot above a speaker/near the DJ booth/edge of a platform to keep the towel when a bone-jarring track comes on, though, because I can't be thinking about anything else but shaking my Paki ass...

btw...for all the other fellow brown brothers, I hope I don't offend you guys by using this derogatory term...I just watched Coach Carter the other day and Coach really moved me when he told his team not to use the "N" word because it makes others used to the term which may make it seem okay or "cool" but it's really disrespectful for the ancestors who had to put up with terrible conditions. Okay I think I responded to my own comment so I will refrain from that word (although I find it so damn funny and harmless--oh well )

Back to the topic--yeah you and that wifebeater are VINTAGE Jem as well!

Really? so why isnt your 11 year old cousin making a lot of money wowing people at his age with his mixing skills? Why dont you do it if its so easy?

Comments like this annoy the piss out of me.

WOW! What can I say?? As our first big event at Viva, I think we did ok! I was happy to see so much TA support... THANKS EVERYONE!!

To Aaron... great job behind the decks man... Absolutely amazing set! Your mixing was nearly perfect and your track selection was fantastic. Keep it up brothah, you're gonna do big things!

Big thanks to Airwave for being there. He's the most down-to-earth DJ I've met in a long time! Such a great guy to hang out with... I think he had a great time being here! I didn't expect him to play so hard, but he was on fire!!!

Mark Oliver never ceases to impress. His mix of trance and techno was right on time to keep the crowd going till the end!

All in all, great event! I'm happy with the way things went... hope to see you guys all out a Cor on July 15th
