I had to gas up this morning but all the places were around 91 for regular. I found this shell station north of midland and sheppard that only had v-power gas left and was selling for the same price.

Why? It's simply cheaper to buy it elsewhere. Extraction costs in Canada are fairly high (compared to Venezuela or the mid-East) - but thanks to the global economy we can cost average our cost of consumption by exporting the expensive oil and replacing it with cheap imported oil.

Thats right!

When Canada discoverd its oil supply, they didnt extract any at first cause it was way to expensive.

From what i understand, our oil is mixed with alot of sand and seperating it is difficult and costly

i got some at 83.5. hardly the cheapest but certainley not a buck.
