Damn. For PC software, that is pretty damn expensive.

LUNAR and LUNAR: Eternal Blue COMPLETE for PS1 roughly cost me around $70 each, since they came with so much extra stuff.

When MGS2 was released for Xbox, it was $95 or so, plus tax. I didn't have the ps2 then, and just had to play the game. Sucks that within three months the price fell to 29.99.

May I add that another game which was ridiculously expensive was Mortal Kombat 3 for Super NES. $69.99. Amazing how 32MB back in the day ran so much. Although NEO GEO defintely ranks as having the most expensive system AND games, running @ almost $600 for the core system and $200 for EACH GAME! Bloody HELL!

And I wonder why consoles like NEO GEO and Sega Saturn died out so quick...it's simple economics, having games that cost that much is not going to work when companies like nintendo charge much less.

Saturn wasn't a bad system. It defintely PWNED for import games, like Vampire Savior, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, etc etc.

Everquest and Ultima Online..very expensive in the long run.

Hey DA do on-line porn chats count as well?

Anywho, I never spent more than $60 on a game, just because i only use PCs for gaming. Amigas before that, and commodores before that And only recently got PSP, that's cuz i fly so much and need a way to kill time.

You've never bought any special edition PC games that mayhave come with extra stuff, like Half-Life 2 Bronze, Silver, Gold or PLatinum, or any of that sort? Very rarely do I see PC games go over $60 like you said, unless it's a special package like HL2.

And you got a PSP too. Same here. Rockin' little system. Only drawback is a I can't figure out how to set up the network to play online with it.

I bought Tales Of Symphonia off http://www.Amazon.co.uk for 30.

I saved 8 buying it online instead of in the shops!!

World of Warcraft = $120 + $40 to get started! but all worth it.

Posted by MiAmi_TrAnCeMaN on Aug-22-2005 04:02:

Shame / Disagreement $199.99 + tax

I got this game called Steel Battalion for the xbox. It was a mech game that came with a huge 40 button controller. The game was hard and it really sucked, i felt ripped off. The good thing is that Capcom only made a limited quantity of this game so it was hard to find. I put it for sale on ebay and ended up selling it for $275 + shipping, redeeming myself for that stupid purchase.

Posted by bananas on Aug-22-2005 17:49:

uhmm diablo II + LoD, ~15$
i don't buy games. :>>
