When MGS2 was released for Xbox, it was $95 or so, plus tax. I didn't have the ps2 then, and just had to play the game. Sucks that within three months the price fell to 29.99.

May I add that another game which was ridiculously expensive was Mortal Kombat 3 for Super NES. $69.99. Amazing how 32MB back in the day ran so much. Although NEO GEO defintely ranks as having the most expensive system AND games, running @ almost $600 for the core system and $200 for EACH GAME! Bloody HELL!

Everquest and Ultima Online..very expensive in the long run.
Hey DA do on-line porn chats count as well?
Anywho, I never spent more than $60 on a game, just because i only use PCs for gaming. Amigas before that, and commodores before that
And only recently got PSP, that's cuz i fly so much and need a way to kill time.

I bought Tales Of Symphonia off http://www.Amazon.co.uk for 30.
I saved 8 buying it online instead of in the shops!!
World of Warcraft = $120 + $40 to get started! but all worth it.
$199.99 + tax
I got this game called Steel Battalion for the xbox. It was a mech game that came with a huge 40 button controller. The game was hard and it really sucked, i felt ripped off. The good thing is that Capcom only made a limited quantity of this game so it was hard to find. I put it for sale on ebay and ended up selling it for $275 + shipping, redeeming myself for that stupid purchase.
uhmm diablo II + LoD, ~15$
i don't buy games. :>>
