In the words of classic TA:

pics or stfu...

hehehe

Posted by Piano4444 on Jul-05-2005 18:53:

I don't have a pic of myself because the only computer I have access to is at work.

I usually wear pretty much the same thing when I go to aria/stereo

White track pants and a football jersey, I am pretty short and have blonde hair.

I'll poste a pic when I get a chance to use a computer that has pictures on it.

I know what Marcus looks like so if worse comes to worse I will find you guys

Yay for short blondies. We'll be up front also, probably next to the left speaker.

OK, so i finally got myself into a state of mind where I can reflect on the weirdness that was steve lawler. first: awesome set. those grooves got deep into my soul and made my ass shake with an intelligence all its own. second: fuck, there are some really nice people in mtl, like the dude who showed me a dance move that his 15 year old brother showed him just to prove how cool this kid is going to be and this girl named shona who was extremely cute and kisssed both myself and my girlfrined. third: question: i get very, very compassionate (like totally maternal) when at shows. I really like waving at people, applauding their dance moves, saying "hello" to strangers, and generally revelling in the profound sense of commaraderie that the experience begets. is this weird? does it freak out people because I migth come across as "creepy friendly"? if it does, f*ck it. there's only one way to make friends and that's by being totally extroverted. back to lawler: the thickness of beats made my soul hurt. also a total aphrodisiac. the magical powers of the funk compel me like i was a freeky satan.

Extasy will do that

Posted by ImmyJ on Jul-06-2005 21:00:

that's a good point, and i'm not denying that it might have had some formative influence on the state of mind i found myself buried up to the tonsils in that night, but this "profound sense of community" thing lasts for weeks afterwards (especially after seeing a show like lawler). i find myself drenched in the salty oversoul when riding buses, when biking past long lines of toddlers each holding on to one of those "pack-o-cheerio" ropes, when spending time in little known and frequently forgotten parks around town, when buying lychees in chinatown and the grocery women telling me that i look like an asshole with my pink hair, when talking to the squeegee kids and giving them beer, and when getting yelled at for petting horses in old montreal. man, i'm just saying that some phenomenological shit is airbourne in this town, and beats like lawler's make it more tangible. that said, hallelujah for feet because thems' made for dancin'.
