A nice remix. I love the original version.

This is a little simplistic, but it works quite well.

Good work

sorry dude, didnt mean to sound harsh! i can see it working well as a set filler, i mean at the end of the day it allows u to play a sweet coldplay track out in a club which is cool, i just think with a bit of work you could make it stand out a bit more, its very basic and the momeny. some extra percs etc could work well perhaps.

great melody...

definitely adding a lil more percussion would be cool.... but i like the atmosphere it has.... its... very happy.. hahha

I like this remix a lot compared to other coldplay remixes, yes it can sound a bit simplistic but I think that has its advantages for this particular track. Just an idea, but what if you incorporated more of the musical elements and have a breakdown like in the original that occurs in the middle (in the original), to give the track more emotion and energy. Overall, I really like this track a ton, great job, when I get CDJs or something I will definitely play this track.

Love

Im a real coldplay fan too, and I was first scared you'd really fucked the song up.. but this..
this is awesome man I'd like to see you do this live !!

Posted by teknasia on Aug-07-2005 11:35:

nice remix m8!

but maybe lower the level of the piano?
It's just a minor thing, no big deal!

great work!

WOW! What a *magical remix*! I love how the bassline shifts with the vocals at the beginning. It follows the vocals really well throughout the entire song. The best part is where the guitar comes in and everything just goes! Then the track ends nicely just the way I always like for a great track leaving just the bassline. I could imagine it's just about perfect if it were to be played live in a set! If only there's an extended version; just by extending the breaksdowns for a more settle feel for emotion, especially the guitar climax. But I think an extended version would only exist when played live. This must be a home-listen version.
One word to describe this track is *MAGICAL*~

It may be simplistic but it does the job. I like it a lot Reminds me of Oakie's remix of 'Beautiful Day' for some reason (which is definately a good thing).

Nice work

Wow, this is still going...?

Yeah, you're the first person to make that comparison but I actually fully agree. I think it's cos the bassline has the same rhythm as in Oakie's Beautiful Day remix, and that remix was fairly simple too.

lovely track!

your synth selection is great. i love the almost church organ sound you got going on there. its almost quite sash! reminicent... but in a good way. the break around 4;20 is very nice indeed. i would probably make the whole thing a bit less detailed and more minimal by getting rid of some of the less sophisticated melodies. but that might ruin the vibe you got here. im not sure. vocals work great! and seem to be at the right volume. where do you get these accapellas by the way?

top clean stuff!

Yeap, similar bassline, pretty simple arrangement and use of sounds but is equally efective and they are both pretty light and "airy" (if that's the right word) - Plus they are both great remixes of tracks originally by bands

I can't get this song out of my head! lol

Posted by Tech0rz on Sep-07-2005 22:30:

I got one of my friends into trance and gave him a CD with some timeless trance songs like Ligaya, Out of the Blue etc. along with the OLDER version of this remix, and he usually always plays "Fix You" before any other...

Just a quick notice here -

This track was played last night on Big Al's Vibe101 show (11PM - 1AM, South Wales & South West, 101.0 FM) last night. The mixing he did with it was atrocious - going out into Marcel Woods' Advanced was never going to work, but I was raving away like a loony when it was on.

Finally, some decent airplay for a quality tune!

Posted by trancintaiwan on Sep-17-2005 14:41:

just wanna say i'm including this in my next mix set...

Posted by daylightdancer on Sep-17-2005 23:45:

Excellent job!!
It really does justice to the orignal.
Everything about it works nice - this sounds like Coldplay themselves commisioned it! Fine work my friend 10/10..

Would you return the favour and review my effort of Talk?
