Mick Burns is Michael Burns who produced "The Ambience" that was on ASOT 2004. You may have also heard his track "Forwards" which was also on several compilations. He also produces under the alias Blue Haze, with his biggest hit probably being "Into Nothing" which he sang the vocals for.

not bad... the lyrics, while not my style... sound alright in the song. i'd say the song is mediocre at best.

Wow. Mick sent me the vocals for this track like last year, and he was trying to make it into his own original track. I remember when he sent me snips of it. I guess he just ended up giving them to Armin.

Mick is also the guy behind Panoptic - Surface

i am loving this track!

armin's new album? huh, must have slept too long

Posted by EverZ on Jul-05-2005 21:59:

This track is together with Zocalo my favorite tracks of the new album uptil now. I love the vocals and the track is also quite nice.

For the new album he also made tracks together with Nadia Ali (Singer from Iio), Ray Wilson, Martijn Hagens and Remy & Roland Klinkenberg. And there's also a second track together with Jan Vayne so that will probably be on it too. And i guess a track with Justine Suissa. So that's 10 tracks and there will be 10 on it so...

Album is called Shivers and will be released on 8 August.

I am loving this!! I really like the contrast of the chill vocals against the heavy bassline and energetic rhythm. It's unique which is nice. The Mick's vocals sound almost the same as 'Into Nothing' here but that's not a bad thing. I also love Zocalo.

His new album could be good but how can I forgive him for Serenity!

sounds like ferry, pure pop fodder to lure in the album sales. Shame armin follows the same path as moby, jxl, oakie, bt, hooligan, west bam, lieb etc etc. Oh well.

Posted by raydn on Jul-05-2005 23:14:

can add Commander Tom to the list too

For the most part those are some pretty nice paths you claim he is following though. However I don't think Armin's productions are up to par with those guys save for Oakie.

Armin goes McProg. The axis is complete!

(tbh I rather like the vocals, but that Miami-styled twinkle sh???t has got to go)

he is also behind interstate .... with another producer , forgot the name . Michael Burns is very talented ; his productions are gerat . need to hear this.

Armin's Album seems interesting . many collaborations which could result in good tracks !

somewhat doubt that. Sorry don't like this track. If they are going to use male vocals they may as well make an indie record with guitars instead of trance type sound. Take note ben lost.

Posted by TOR on Jul-06-2005 10:20:

sounds ok

i think i've heard the guitar melody before

and the bass sounds a bit like Massive Motion, hehe

but as a whole, this is quite nice

Posted by Night Stalker on Jul-06-2005 10:22:

sooooo fresh and awesome track for sure!!!!!

remixing it with the right female voice would make it one hell of a hit!
