Thanks for the reply, and I;m glad this didn't turn into a flame war. He is comming to Chicago by the end of this month and I am in a scramble to get a fake for him and Nick Warren too. I do realize his stuff lends itself much more to a night out dancing rather than home listening, as I do the vast majority of the time.
I disliked it with a passion when I first heard it
was listening to a friends set, and I couldn't believe how good it sounds within it.
it's definately a track which needs to be used properly

sorry everybody, but this track rocked the fuck outta Space when james was here last weekend.
i think you guys need better speakers cuz this track is mad dope. but yeah i agree it sounds way better in a set than by itself. and hearing james drop it last weekend was sooooooo badass, he fucked with it sooooooo hard on the effects.
anyway, i think its one of my fav tracks of the year so far. even though i like Skanksuary a bit better.

to each their own, personally i think 'robophobia' kicks ass by itself, in a set, fuck even just sitting in the cd case by itself not even being played, lol! james zabiela has his OWN style, thats what makes him so fuckin dope, that and his technical skills are way too damn good, i've seen him once, he played before sasha, and lets just say that i felt sorry for sasha playing after, he just could'nt bring the excitement that i'd just seen back to the room. im goin to see JZ next week, i hope he surprises me again!
ya mon.
i enjoy the track in any instance. sure it's not very melodic, but it sure is fresh. there hasn't been anything quite like it.
people who don't like the track are entitled to their own (wrong) opinion. haha just kidding, but seriously;
obviously, there won't ever be a track that pleases everybody.

So far I really like this track, and i have already heard about 4 people remix it.

Originally posted by chillsonic no you don't. I gave you a set by dj nrjizer off the dj promotion part of the site. the set wasn't by zabiela (but the set is still very good). therefore, no pwnage has occured.

Originally posted by lilcapfromtedub True, but it gives u the idea of the DJ and what kind of sets he does. So, if I didn't like the set at home, I prolly won't like the set live.

Originally posted by kush paintings I want to like Zabiela, I really do. It would be fun to be on the bandwagon, and I don't mean that in a pretencious way at all. The thing is I just can't get into his shit. I can't describe it, I guess its the lack of emotion that coems through when I listen to him and that is afterall why I listen to EDM. Maybe, I am missunderstanding his track, maybe I need more listens, but I gather Zabiela's style is producing if you will "fun tracks". If I simply wanted fun tracks that are, although I don't like them, well produced I'd pop on some Dre and Timberland, perhaps maybe even a few old Neptunes songs. However, Zabiela, and expecially his Utilities release just doesn't tickle my fancy.
