I'm quite a big cheese-connaisseur if you ask me... "F***ing Baby Boomers" - what a tune!

Here's a sum-up of what I think (and like) about the Belgian cheese-scene:

Ian Van Dahl is not too bad I think... I quite liked the instrumental version of 'Castles In The Sky'. Peter Luts remixes of these tunes are always a bit more trancy.

Lasgo also had a big hit with 'Something'. I didn't really care about the follow-ups, as with alot of commercial projects they were a cheap spin-off from this one.

Astroline had many more with 'Take Good Care Of Me', 'Feel The Fire (Absolom Full On Trance Mix)'. Wasn't really 100% cheese in the beginning though as these were nice clubhits.

Absolom had huge hits with 'Secret' (I love this vocal mix, such nice vocals... Armin, eat your heart out), 'Baby Boomers' (jeehah!) and a very nice trancer 'The Air (Prophecy Mix)' and 'The Air (Trance Mix)'.

Milk Inc. we all now and have always continued to produce some nice eurodance. My real favs lie a long time ago though, with 'La Vache', 'Free You Mind' and others. Has had alot of 'singers' through the years, guess our Linda is here to stay though

The Mackenzie feat. Jessy have had some true classics such as 'Innocence' (hands in the air everyone!) and some others. Also wasn't cheese in the beginning, things got started when Jessy joined the club.

Fiocco went cheesy after some great classics such as 'Afflitto' (they can spin this one any day for me) and others. Though the follow-ups were all pretty much based on the sound of this great track, only with some cheesy vocals added; e.g. 'Keep The Spirit Alive'.

Anneke Van Hooff recently had a pretty nice hit with 'Lie To Me'. Not a big fan of it, but I think she has a cute voice. It'll probably be the only thing we ever hear of her and as always Regi Penxten has produced the track.

It's quite a big list (and probably goes on even further)... Probably it's all cheesy in some way, but you gotta admit - Belgium's damn good at it

Limburg was damn good at it.

I admit I used to listen to quite some cheesier stuff like this in the past and still like the occasional track...

Icone, I'd definitely add Sylver to that list also, a project from Wout Van Dessel (DJ Wout)

Two of my all-time favourites in this genre are:
Sylver (Liquid Ft. Silvy when it came out) - Turn The Tide
Lasgo - Something

The following page actually sums up most of the Belgian (euro)dance acts quite well:

http://www.dancevibes.be/artists/artists.jsp

Regi indeed has a huge lists of these dance projects on his name (www.regipenxten.com and www.regipenxten.be) and I think some of them aren't too bad at all, La Luna - Here I Am <-- thought that was an awesome track when it came out..so I definitely give quite some props to him, he's not as bad as some people thought here I saw a while back with all those 'Anti Regi Alliances' in people's avatars in the past *laughs*

His solo projects aren't that bad either...one thing he SHOULD NOT do though is attempt to sing to them...Trancelucent - Lonely (Illusion Beach 2004 Theme) for e.g.

No, I'm not, fair enough, the track's are very well produced and I played both versions over and over but I have to say it's cheese.

I love them though.

Hmm... veerrry strange way of defining 'cheese' though

Uplifting is almost always cheese. (:

Posted by X-Tune on Jul-15-2005 09:52:

In kaasland is alles cheesy.

Posted by kutvolkots on Jul-15-2005 10:06:

Posted by X-Tune on Jul-15-2005 10:11:

Posted by kutvolkots on Jul-15-2005 11:03:

Kinderachtige melodien.

Posted by Kaidreas on Jul-15-2005 11:05:

Your cheese is not our cheese.. ke?

Posted by X-Tune on Jul-15-2005 11:12:

K3 is cheesy.

Posted by Kaidreas on Jul-15-2005 11:15:

^tssssss ken u classics ket

Posted by kutvolkots on Jul-15-2005 11:33:

Posted by kutvolkots on Jul-15-2005 11:44:

Posted by kutvolkots on Jul-15-2005 12:17:

Roadblock ft dave beyer - about a girl (peter luts rmx)

'Virgo - Game Mania' en 'Virgo - Enter The Game'. Beetje rare nummers...

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Jul-17-2005 13:33:
