ferry owned last night
and he just wouldent stop i left at 6:45 and he was still going
great tech-trance and techno last like hour of his set
cant wait for his monthly residency
that remix of leathal industry was great
high light of the night: as iam leaving the flyer guy saw i was tryin to take down a ferry poster and it got ripped and he goes " ill get you a new one" and i thought he was bullshitting, 5 min later he came back with one
very nice staff at crobar

Wow... very hot set. I loved how into the music and how friendly Ferry was. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed the scene at Crobar - no pushing, plenty of room to dance, and smiles on virtually everyone's faces. I don't have time to make the album right now (just got back down to B-more) b/c I've gotta get ready for G&D tonight... but I'll put it together and post it tomorrow.
Got to meet Vtec (briefly) and was in line w/ trucks - always cool to meet you's in person.

Oh yeah... I took a dumpload of videos - if anybody knows a good place that will host 'em, PM me a link - thanks and greatly appreciated

wow it was such a perfect night...first time seeing Serge Devant...hadnt expected him to r0ck it the way he did -- he was siick!! at one point i HAD to stop dancing just cuz i wanted to save my energy for Ferry. But yeah it was surprisingly roomy n comfortable all night (unlike at PVD where i was squished on ALL sides). as usual great to see everyone, and i got to see some old party buddies from Roxy i havent' seen in a LOOOOONG time. Shoutout to all the usual ppls, tremendous TA turnout...Nice to meet u ny_chatter, stanvoid & Mango and anyone else i forgot to mention. and soo happy i got my bud Chris (anghang) to come out at the last minute. here's to more great times in the near future -=] esp with Ferry becoming a resident (is that siiick or wut)

two great moments for me during the night:
- as soon as they started letting everyone into the main room, i made a BEELINE for the back of the club, where i proceeded to rip down a giant FERRY poster, and ran back to the main floor with it. even better, getting 2 big posters and 3 small ones signed. (thanks sveta for ur help! )
- passing my cellfone to a guy on the stage to give to Ferry at the beginning of his set...the guy looked at me, befuddled but gave the fone to Ferry. I had written a msg : "NYTAs (tranceaddicts) <3 FERRY! Welcome back to NYC! -=]" Then as the phone is passed back to me, Ferry actually looks OVER the DJ booth to see WHO gave him the phone and he waved at me with a big smile. OMG i nearly *died*

____________________
left close to 7am, i was still energetic but pretty much done...haven't been this happy about a party for awhile and i haven't enjoyed Crobar this much since James Zabiela and Armin last summer. it was VERY nice.

can't wait to see the rest of the pics -- and was there a group pic taken with Ferry? just curious.

nice pix..shit..too bad i had to leave early cuz of the girls i was with.. or else maybe i couldve talk to ferry for a min.

I had a great time, insane night. Although i don't think he should be a monthly resident at Crobar, he seems to play the same stuff every set, every song he played tonight he played at EmCity 3 weeks back. Maybe a bi/tri monthly residency would be better.

Thats a great pic Sveta!

Posted by trunks1022 on Jul-09-2005 22:22:

yeah i'm not sure about seeing a trance DJ every month. i'm not sure if it's lack of variety in tracks or what. every few months maybe. we'll see what happens with ferry... they should have like a discounted pass or something for six months.

unbelievable night. I especially loved the tech-trance that he played at 5.

good to finally meet stanvoid, pumpkin_king, madhattered, flamestrike, blitz, and others who I don't remember

also good seeing lyss, drew, jay, sal, all three brians (vtec, x, kid nyce), bree, joey, vlad, big mike, sveta and others

Posted by StanVoid on Jul-09-2005 23:19:

when he dropped BT feat JC - Force of Gravity (Ferry's Bootleg Mix), i went mental. Such a beautiful melody and voice.

I DO remember when you took that pic

My review:

First, I will work on taking better and more pics next time. I had an amazing night, the music was absolutely sickie wickie. It was probably 2 hours into it before he played a track I didn't recognize but they were all the songs I wanted to hear. I had so much fun with everybody and meeting more TA's again. As said already, there was room to dance which was unexpected since I was thinking it was gonna be insane like PVD. Everybody just seemed to be down to earth and having fun, none of that steroid bull shit that goes on in Crobar so much.

Ferry destroys Armin and Tiesto, there's no doubt in my mind. It's similar styles at times but just better track selection and flow. That's just my opinion though.

I'm so stoked for his monthly residency but I will have to agree with Sal in that it might be a bit much to hear the same trance cuts again and again every month. I'll probably end up going to all of them though nevertheless. We'll see....

I was beat tired today from last night, that's the way it should be.
