Purple Haze - Adrenalin

Hate this one!

Racheal Starr-Till There Was You (Gabriel and Dresden Club Mix)

I love Gabriel & Dresden but I really think they should have passed on this one. The girl's voice is beyond annoying....

I love these threads...

...because it is all a matter of opinion. Someone says that a track sucks because THEY don't agree with it. That leads to 50 pages of "you suck" and "fu** you".

Personally, I really like a lot of songs that were referenced in this thread so far, including:
As The Rush Comes
Out of The Blue
Till There Was You
Xpander
Southern Sun
Traffic

Now, I agree that some of these songs have been played to death, even to the point where I am sick of a few of them, but that doesn't change my opinion that they are great songs.

Okay, my turn to add 50 pages of "you don't know sh*t" to this thread. My overrated songs:
- Any production of Paul Van Dyk (except Nothing But You).
- Suburban Train (sorry, I've never really understood why it's so great - and, yes, I've heard Tiesto play it live in many different arenas)

u're right Paul Oakenfold is not a trance track. but if you're going to take forum communication in a litaral way, and not in the sense that by Paul Oakenfold he meant Paul Oakenfold's tracks (which should be rather obvious given the context), then it would also seem strange that when you hear something incorret or odd in real life, your face would turn orange, your pupils would become dilated, you would open your mouth and stick your tongue out.

btw, someone should write a few paragraphs about why Xpander actually IS a great track and make it sticky....

Armin - Blue Fear!!

Posted by josh rising on Jul-15-2005 17:34:

Mauro Picotto - Lizard

Iguana & Komodo are MUCH better than the shit that is Lizard.

Sounthern sun is an awesome track,it is easier to accept than Traffic

Posted by JenniferRene on Jul-15-2005 17:38:

I don't know how you guys can say Southern Sun is overrated....

But that's just my opinion of course.

Posted by [Chriz] on Jul-15-2005 17:42:

avb's blue fear as well...

Posted by kr00t0n on Jul-15-2005 18:08:

I think Southern SUn is horribly overrated, but then I just don't like it, so I, like most of us, am biased.

The vox just didnt work for me, sounds like bjork on crack

as for OOTB, people must keep in mind when it was made, and as such how basic is now sounds compared to the uber-layered tracks of today.

It was awesome when it first came out, but I'm rather bored of it now, doesnt mean it's a bad track.

Seconded. I was unsure how it won TOTY 2004 (regardless of the voting system), had heard it in numerous sets without even realising it.

Tiesto - Traffic
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar
Cass & Slide - Perception

Just kidding on the last one

I really don't know what the most overrated track would be. For it to be overrated, there would need to be a general consensous that, without a strong marketing presence behind said track, it would have never seen much limelight, probably collecting dust way off in a bargain bin. Being overrated isn't so much about the quality of a track, but un-just hype. The song could be decent but hardly worth lengendary status fans and press steep upon it if many similar sounding tracks have been released before and after.

That said, whatever the most overrated track is, I'm sure Ferry Corsten has had something to do with it.

Tiesto - Traffic
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings

Even if that is for a different thread...

Posted by lacksesepsotygh on Jul-15-2005 21:07:

tiesto - traffic
solid globe - sahara

Posted by gizzymcg on Jul-15-2005 21:21:

I think sum of u guys are really either against great euphoric tunes or uve got a vendetta against that style.
Tiesto's rmx of Southern Sun is one of the greatest remixes EVER. Pure Ibizan trance and it still sounds fresh to this day.

As for Above & Beyond. Any1 that doesnt think that Razorfish is a bonafide classic is smoking sumthin

Posted by AlphaStarred on Jul-15-2005 22:59:

Anything from PVD save for "Avenue."
CJ Bolland - The Prophet
Agnelli & Nelson - Holding On To Nothing

Posted by sw1 on Jul-15-2005 23:06:

Paul Oakenfold - Starry-Eyed Surprise (or whatever the hell it's called)

Total crap. Guess I won't be drinking Diet Coke anytime soon.

Posted by Shizane2002 on Jul-15-2005 23:06:

Adagio for Strings

Posted by sw1 on Jul-15-2005 23:30:

Public Domain - Operation Blade

Total ripoff!

The original that they sampled from, New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix), is way better.
