the night was ok.. i spent most the night in room rotation..one room to the next.. Up stairs ..omg.. i loved Brandon Goode!! .. Call me the dancing queen!! I loved his set... I didn't catch too much of Above and Beyond... just a quick peek and listen here and there... I guess I was in the mood for something different... House music.. was my fun time ticket!! Thank you to Riia.. Michelle and both Mikes.. good times.. and my partners in Crime! Life would suck without you guys!!

A&B vs. Andy Moor - Air For Life
Armin Van Buuren - Birth Of An Angel (mashup with Angelic - It's My Turn acapella)
Paul Van Dyk feat. Wayne Jackson - The Other Side
Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down
Gareth Emery & Jon O'Bir - Bouncebackability [DJFaded, that's the one you asked me about]
Tranquility Base - Razorfish
LSG - Netherworld 2005
Marc Marberg - Guarana
Young Parisians feat. Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train
Super8 - Alba
Delerium - Silence 2004
Oceanlab - Satellite
Eyewall - Bad Deal [thanks to DJFaded for ID'ing that one]
Mike Foyle vs. Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk
A&B - No One On Earth
Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl
Oceanlab - Beautiful Together

There were also a number of harder tracks, mostly in the first hour. About a dozen are missing from the list above. Anyone got them??

The last track (with vocals sounding a bit like Phil Collins) was their latest production (can't remember the name now), which is not yet finished. It sounded awesome (until they were forced to turn it off ). Thanks for that preview!!

I just listened to LM54 again, and I don't remember hearing it. And sorry I don't know the other stuff. I really wish you could have been there I thought that their mixing was quite good.

God what a good night that was. If they could all only be that good.

So much for your change of plans, huh?

We Missed you too!!
I think after 1:40 or 2am Spundae might let 18+ in to the club... But I am not sure.....

Excellent night! I was amazed that the floor was still so packed at 4:10 a.m. - Above & Beyond really held the crowd until the end! Was so intense when they played Mike Foyle vs. Signalrunners "Love Theme Dusk" (Broken Record Mix, sample available at www.mikefoyle.com). Armin opened Sensation White with this track and it's one of my favorites.

The TV monitors circling the DJ stand had clips from Sensation White and Black, was pretty amazing to watch a crowd of 40,000 people in Holland, even if only for a few seconds! I really need to be at Sensation White next year!!!

Anyway, thanks to Jono and Paavo for bringing what was, imho, the best night at Spundae so far this year! Not since Tiesto have I seen a crowd this worked up over a DJ set, so congrats to them on a job very well done. They willingly signed autographs at the end, shook hands and took pictures with a lot of us.

I also enjoyed Egil's set beforehand - a large circle formed in front of the booth and was fun to watch drunk people in the middle proving that they could still dance! I didn't do it, since I knew that for me it was hopeless...

Monkey Dancer 2

WOW what a fun night this was at SPUNDAE. Yes Above & Beyond were great and so were all the other DJs. Man I hadn't seen that main room get so packed in a long time.

Fun times indeed!!!

Above & Beyond were great last Saturday. Played some great tunes. I was happy to hear Love Theme Dusk.

Swedish Egil also was great. Love this guy. First saw him in that Groove show. He's crazy!

Posted by neinerlove on Jul-19-2005 03:29:

swedish egil kicked ass...great energy!!

Posted by technofriik on Jul-19-2005 06:08:

I agree with everybody here: What a kick-ass night!!! A&B kept me dancing (and sweating like no tomorrow!) the whole night and I must've lost a few pounds because my normally tights jeans were almost falling off at the end of the night (the AC seemed to be off again ).

The A&B set was awesome! I didn't really see any of the other djs because it was just too damn hot inside the club. Besides, the first dj in the main room was playing music I couldn't get into...I'm sure Swedish Egil was good as always but I was too busy and excited to speak Finnish with Paavo to listen to any music Paavo and Jono are such nice guys!

But why was it so difficult for the Spundae/Circus people to play the A&B visuals DVD on the screens??? It took two tries, about two hours and some frustrated talks before they got the whole dvd playing instead of just the first 10-second track looping over and over again

Anyways, I had a great time, especially with Michelles, Faded, AJ and Kris BTW, thanks to everyone who bought/offered to buy me a birthday drink! It was too much!

Be Cool!

Let me just say that I can still visualize the entire club singing along to "Satellite". Simply amazing.

I was fortunate enough to chat with Jono and Paavo(thanks to Torsten) before they went on and they seemed very geniune. And you could tell that they were having a lot of fun behind the decks once they got their set started. If you think I'm going to miss Above & Beyond when they come to Cali again, you're crazy! lol

I finally met the TA-extrodinaire, Michelle. Thank you for the guest list and always keeping the TAs informed/excited for these shows! Good people always make great parties.

Catch everyone the next time I'm down in SoCal or... when everyone comes up for the LP.
