right...you say you should be forgetting all your worries in life...yet your dwelling over someone else's death, whom you never knew...

as much as star kid was a loss to the world and to the EDM community, i do not think things like this need to be brought up all the time. its depressing, and it only puts weight on other peoples lives. i dont mean with this loss specifically, but all these "london bombing" threads and all this mourning about people you don't know. its just not worth the negative energy.

i dont mean to be offensive, and if you understand what im saying, you will see that im not trying to be in-humane or anything either. its just things that you say and do what you can with your thoughts and meta-physical intention, and then you move on. its not worth stirring up negative emotive like this...

Your right, it shouldnt be a sad time, but it should be a time to celebrate the life of a good producer and what he did during his short time among us.

that is a good point. i actually didn't consider the difference between him and the london bombings. i wasn't comparing the two events as a whole, but rather, that i find people act somewhat the same way when tragic things happen. it just isn't something that should take up alot of space in your mind unless you were directly effected by the incident, which i was pointing out, alot of people were probably wern't.

i do understand the loss, im not denouncing the fact that it was a horrible thing to happen, but to dwell on it, just isnt worth the negative energy. you are right aswell with the fact that it should be a time to celebrate life of a good producer, hell if i could, id buy everyone a round er two because of it. i just mean the mourning should be somewhat absent.

i hope im not just talking out of my insensitive ass here. i know im going to get flammed. i wish i had the words to really explain what i mean. im really not trying to be callous or rude, but i can see how i could come off like that...

Posted by noelsanger on Jul-31-2005 01:07:

hey twisted, i get what you are saying. it's hard thing to put into words so you come out sounding insensitive, when youre not tyring to be. hopefully i can reply before you get flamed...

my question would be, what is the difference between positive and negative emotions and energy? is there one? is it in the eye of the beholder? i mean, every time i am reminded of life's impermanence, of everything's impermanence, it may be on the surface, depressing, but it brings me back to the center. it isnt that i "forget my troubles" but it puts them in perspective. helps me maintain my view. it may seem negative, but the result is a positive effect on my thinking. it's so easy to get sucked into and trapped inside our own personal storylines. in fact i am there right now, going thru some difficult personal stuff. but this thread actually helped me remember what it's all about. and that's good.

i actually did know adam, but just a little bit, we traded a few emails. he was an amzingly bright and gifted kid and he is rightly missed by loads of people who never knew him but loved his music. we dont really know whats up and whats down, and maybe he fullfilled his job here, and has moved on. or maybe not, i dont know how it all works. i do know that grief is a natural condition of the human experience. we carry so much of it for so many things all thru our lives. so again, maybe this is useful for people to be able to express and thus move on from (or just explore) a grief that they cant describe or touch otherwise til giant losses bring it to the surface.

i'm kinda thinking out loud here, and not trying to chide you at all. just thought i might share a couple ways that this kind of thread is more constructive than not.

i wont say RIP adam though, because the only thing resting is his body, and that was just a shell he used for a little while and now, his spirit or energy or whatever you call it is just as real and just as active as it ever was. i don't know. i don't know. i don't know how it all works but nothing is ever created or destroyed so something is happening somewhere. what is it?

peace and love

noel

RIP STARKID

And NOEL good post there

It's a loss surely
Every person who dies is a loss, especially when they are too young
It's a shame, it really breaks my heart and makes me think about how life can be really harsh

It's always the people who don't deserve it who die first

Good thing i deserve to die soon
