Frankly, if you want to discuss music, why don't you be the first to start a discussion topic? All I see are complaints about how this forum use to be but I never see an proactive attempt to bring it back to "how it use to be." If anyone hasn't noticed, the quality of a forum has a direct relationship with it's users and what they post. If you want a good forum, start posting threads that promote the topics you want to discuss. It's that simple.

damn...
i didn't think you saw it that way either.. i would have expected another type of reply not in that sense, but i have to agree with you.

Posted by Mattivi on Jul-21-2005 20:14:

here we go, with my opinoin is superlative to yours again, its an endless cylce. i will say i used to enjoy the threads more back in the day, at least the arguments were more musik based, now they are a little more personal and juvenile in nature, as per the attitude in general on the boards.

I hang with TA's daily. Mainly Mario and Stephen (and gavin when he's around), and at least weekly with the others. I Love that shittt.

and exactly, it's called HAVING FUN

Posted by MJM74 on Jul-21-2005 21:46:

okay then..

if all of you who say that TA has gone to crap & that is sucks big time to post or read the board. Then what would be good topics of conversation or topics to post about. every time peeps talk & say the exact same negative things.

1- the board has gone to shit
2- the board is not the same as it used to be when i first joined
3- the oldskoolers don't post anymore cuz the board has peeps that
post or start useless threads.
4- everyone this, everyone that. TA this & TA that..

Instead of posting negative comments or replies, why don't you guys try to make a positive difference instead of negative remarks.

start threads that you guys see fit to the TA criteria. You know how many crappy & bullshit threads go on that do not even remotely call my attention or I don't even like at all. Yet you never see me posting negative remarks/comment about them. WHY?? cuz it doesn't really matter to me. i only post & read what i need to & want to to enjoy TA.

So if a thread reads
"Who is the ugliest or prettiest or the best in chugging beer....
if u know you don't like it or you know its a joke of a thread.... then y read it??

i'm still trying to this day figure out how TA works. I guess only time will tell. til then POST AWAY!!!

Posted by Mattivi on Jul-21-2005 21:50:

manny no offense, i see your point, but how many times can you post and reword the same thought?

Jose Amnesia - The Eternal <<< Quality tunes like this seem to reflect the quality days of TA too hehe.. I think that before used to b different cause practically almost everyone knew each other.. I dont know?!? .. I guess its always good to look into the positive persepectives of life sometimes, or adjust to them.. but hey, I have to say that, been a member since 2000, things were so nice back in the days, sometimes is just hard to let go heh.

i just have no interest in even coming on here anymore. and i notice a lot of the "old schoolers" from when i joined up aren't around either.

oh well, see you guys at space in a month.

- James

Hey James! It's not just you.

I miss how things used to be a year ago, but I don't miss the crap some people used to give me for just existing.

It's not Scott's fault that the SE forum has gone to hell, and constant bitching will only make things worse.

Yea I don't see a lot of people from Orlando posting too much anymore.

But I don't think it's because the forum has gone bad.
I think it's just lack of events happening, in the Orlando area. Ever since Sander @ Icon, there haven't been any big names.

There are events in O-town, they just aren't trance and people don't post about them cause (IMO) they think people won't be interested or they think they will get reamed for starting a useless when the event is already posted in the events thread.

Ferry was in Orlando last month and Noel had a going away party that only me, Colleen, and Rachel attended.

The way to know this is simple

If you bitch and complain about how TA used to be better- you're old skool.

If you bitch and complain because the old skoolers bitch and complain- you're nu skool
