Years ago me and a friend were putting flyers on cars in Ybor promoting some upcoming show at 1509. I'll never forget walking through this dark area and getting the chills...literally the creeps. I've always been one to listen to my intuition and it was speaking to me loud and clear. I told my friend that someone was following us or watching us and to start walking faster. Sure as shit three guys walked right up to us and cut us off. I immediately sensed that I was in the presence of evil. The person's presence that reeked of it was standing right in front of me looking me dead in the eyes. It was David Duke. He was in town for some stupid private function and thought that he would come and check out Ybor City. He took a flyer from my hand and started asking me all kinds of bullshit questions about the music and the people...blah blah blah. He then started asking us personal questions that we kept ignoring. The whole time he stared at me intently. I think he was trying to intimidate me. His bodyguards would not let us walk past them. I have no idea what their problem was, but I think they just felt like messing with two women for the hell of it. He tried preaching to me but I told him that I wasn't interested and that I was done talking to him. He then invited me to go to his stupid private function as his personal guest...handed me his phone number and the location of the function. I declined advising I would rather have a root canal performed on all of my teeth without any pain killers than to spend one second in a room full of a bunch of racist pricks. He laughed an evil laugh and then looked me dead in the eyes as he handed the piece of paper back to me and told me to keep it so that I would have it when I changed my mind. Yeah whatever. They tried to come into 1509, but we didn't let them in. I gave the info that he gave to me to a group of huge black guys that I saw about 15 minutes later.

David Duke is nothing but evil. It was like the devil was standing before me...that's how hardcore he made my skin crawl.
