cheers

Actually he, and Perry, Markus, Probspot and all your favorite American McProg producers, even Chable at times, all copy James Holden's old sound. They're all one big blob feeding on itself to survive.

how about "so is DJ Sammy"

Posted by aloep on Jul-25-2005 13:44:

One of the worst producers to surface in the past few years, IMO. Whiteroom - Someday must be the most headache inducing track I've heard all year.

He's twinkly enough to be. Guess that makes him a failure then; he makes shit music and doesn't get famous doing it.

he sure is. the distance between his melodic so called "trance" and DJ Sammy trance is getting smaller and smaller.

Posted by NuDarkBeat on Jul-25-2005 14:07:

Wow these stupid comments give me seizures.

What kind of a statement is that? You're saying yourself that he's selling vinyls, which per definition makes him commercial. Unless he gives them away for free, that is.

I'd rather listen to DJ Sammy than Andy Moor.

i have nothing against commercial producers, they do their own shit. I just dont like certian producers productions. Andy Moor is one of them.
For example: Faithless is a commercial group which sells more than Tiestor or any other "superstar" DJ. I still think Faithless are more creative than any of these big producers. They just do their own thing and their sound have progressed so much during the years. Just compare Insomnia with Muhammed Ali.

Trancecrackers refuse to use common sense.

I like his productions. I'm more into his older house productions though, "Passenger (West Coast Dub)" being my favorite.

actually he does have talent but he uses it in a wrong way. as do many other producers. for example Sasha, Holden etc. Instead of making cool stuff they make boring sleepy music not suitable for dance floors.
they must suffer from some severe insomnia.

yeah i agree almost.. but i dont think he uses it in the WRONG way, just a way that not everyone appriciates. sasha and holden are the same, i think most of the stuff they make is mind numbing but they are deffinately talented and you cant say that it doesnt appeal to anyone, their music is very popular, not nessesarily for the dance floor but just to listen to, its a very popular sound these days, certainly inventive. andy moor's new stuff dissapoints me a bit but thats only because of my taste. its not like hes not using his skills to their fullest, he is but hes doing so in a very predictable way... so? he still has alot more talent than your average producer those who cant accept this are clueless.

First of all, about him being commercial, you guys just wanna' start a flame war. To be successful in this thing called the music industry, you have to make music that people like, or they don't buy your stuff. If they don't buy your stuff, you can't eat. EVERYONE IS COMMERCIAL IN A SENSE

Andy has definately amazed me more than once. The fact that hes pumping great tunes out like crazy is astonishing imo. Not only is he doing with his Andy Moor alias, but also as Leama & Moor, Whiteroom, and Tilt. This guy pwns
