No I am not getting Politicaly correct but it is just offensive to the casual observer.
And I agree who does want old people getting High in back of the club.
Just this past week I had to try and defend ravers and tranceaddicts in a damn "Safety Day" Breifing some old lady from alchohal drug abuse and dependancey was there preaching about how going to raves or "rave" clubs that U will get invovled in the drug scene and become a "statistic", I dont know about U all but I couldnt sit there and bite my tongue while some old hag preachs about something she doesnt understand nore care to understand. But I made her think and take back most of what she said when I said we Ravers/tranceaddicts R no different than the Hippies of the 60s and 70s or the Greasers of the 40s and 50s, we R just rebelious and for others we R into it for the Music and the scene, anyone remember the "old" days of raveing back when they were underground when U had to know somone to get to one. Back when there was no security at the events when they would be held littarely in a wherehouse, or a farmfield? Before all the big promoters?
I was not a real pleased person when anyone stereo types anyone, god knows I get it enough. Sorry to dump on U all but its late and I am tired and REAL bored, snow ruined my plans for this evening, hopefuly it wont snow next week.
"AND THE KING HATH SPOKEN!!!" Kingonads aka Eric aka Lou Hodo or just Hodo.

Re: Re: No Affence peeps
Lately though security wont let them... which is a good thing..
Hopefully in future more underground parties the promotors will have learnt a lesson and take a stand against kids tripping out on the floor.

Okay so I went to The Guvernment on Saturday and it was honestly a lot better than I thought it would be. For starters, the parking ticket machine was broken so we got to park for free. We get up to a line that reaches the sidewalk and still get inside in under 15 minutes. We walk into the main room and I made a note to myself to observe people. The crowd was pretty mixed and most people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I heard the "I'm a slave for you" (spears) remix and Rapture which I was never a big fan of until I heard it on a louder system. To be honest though I spent about 98% of the time in the hip hop room which was wicked all night so I can't comment on how Mark Oliver did. However I can say that when I left, probably close to 3am, the main room was packed and everybody was dancing so he was doin' a good job of catering to the crowd. Overall it was a lot better than I expected.
I guess that just goes to show that you really have to experience it for yourself and not let others tell you how it is Trance Outlaw. I was actually there this Saturday and had a fabulous time.
Didn't plan on going to guvernment that night but ended up there anyways last minute. Haven't been there in a little while (the last time I was there was when Guy Ordanel was there), so I was looking forward to it. When I got there, there was a lineup as usual and I really didn't want to line up. So I went up and started a conversation with one of the girls that was working near the VIP line and asked her if she could sneak us in. To my surprise she did try until the owner showed up. Anyways we knew one of the bouncers there so she told us to just get in the VIP line and say we were friends of theirs and they let us, which was great because that saved us the long lineup.
When we got in I also made a extra note to observe the crowd. Yeah, everyone seemed to be having a good time. The crowd was great. Everyone that I talked to was looking forward to Thursday. Mark spun some tunes from Green Velvet , DJ Dan etc...probably to get the crowd ready for Smirnoff. About the Rapture track, I believe I have every single possible remix of this dope track possible but the one that Mark spun sounded different. Seemed like to me he was doing a great job mixing it with his style and upped the BPM or something. He also played some classic house tunes there as well. Oh, by the way for anyone that was there that night...anybody know what track it was that Mark remixed in halfway through Delerium- Silence? The crowd erupted at that point. I can't really describe it but it had some parts that sounded like Mario Piu - the Vision but not quite. Anyways, I would love that track if anyone was there knows what I'm talking about.
Yeah, overall a fun night at Guv. Met some pretty cool people. The only downer was some fat chick that was sitting next to me kept bugging me for K all night. I stayed till 5 and I had to start work in a few hours at 10
The crowd was still dancing and enjoying themselves at this point, so no complaints for good O' Oliver.

Rare occasion indeed. I believe it was the Tiesto mix, but he had Silence going for more than half an hour because he remixed it with a few other tunes and kept going back to Silence, it was fantastic.

Hey fantom, I see you are a member of the Guvernment AG group. Looks like a very sweet group. A lot of the lists that people have on Dec 17, 18 were the tunes that Mark was playing on Saturday.."open your eyes" , "house of god" , "lala land" etc etc.. looks like a great concept for a group. I just applied.
I see you are a Nick Holder fan too, very nice.
