my new job is going to ROCK! i know both of the attorneys from a previous firm i worked at and they left that firm and started their own practice. i even babysat for one of them a few times and i see him and his gf out at bars a lot...they are the nicest guys and they do white collar criminal defense, so the work is going to be interesting to say the least....all of their clients are high profile criminals...pharmaceutical fraud, mob shit, laundering money...

Just reading all the gossip in this thread. It's a goldmine for stalkers.

I've met a guy I on trance.nu (yeah, I got my bulletproof vest on me) and he turned out to be even cooler in real life. Much more humble than I though. He doesn't live very close though, which is a shame.

Other than that, not much.

Thats awesome! Congrats and good luck with that. There is nothing like having your own place you can do whatever the fuck you want in your place cuz YOU pay the bills

Plus when you work for things and succeed and have something that is truly your own to show for it you feel more independant and have a great feeling of self acomplishment.

Well I met a girl online about 4 years ago and winded up dating her. Well we met at a talent show she was in at my high school. This was not my school's talent show but some senior that my sister went out with in 8th grade. He started it, and so I met this girl named Claudia. We first came in contact when I was going through a phase where I was interested in Wicca, and during the time I was really kind of lost. So we met, and things were great. I asked her to the movies the next day and she said yes. We had a really great conversation and continued to be SO into each other. I eventually asked her out and well we were together for about 2 1/2 months. Things went downhill the last month, and she was a really messed up girl. I think at the time I was just really desperate, and needed someone to talk to.

Ninth grade is a pretty significant adjustment for people, it surely was for me, so she kind of helped me along with it, but I was the one winding up helping her out more. I got to the point where I was even ignoring myself to be with her, no matter what. She eventually started pushing me away, even setting up a personal's ad. She was really into the goth and wicca stuff and I had even tried to become more like her, kind of a goth. I was totally changing myself for her, and it just didn't feel right. She really never accepted me for me. I accepted her no matter what, I was just being brought down by her lies, her personal ad that she told me about, and her not wanting to be around me. We finally broke up, and I have had zero luck with girls after her. I will admit to meeting two other people online after her, but they were just friends who I no longer talk to. I quite the online thing a long time ago, and will never do it again. Though like I just said...i've had zero luck with girls i've met in school, work, at church/youth group or other stuff I was involved with in high school. Just hopefull that someday I will meet someone better....and not online....

i've met tons of people IRL after knowing them from online, starting way back in the AOL days when i was 14.

i met my 2nd serious boyfriend online, and he is the reason i moved from NY to Wisco 3 years ago. we dated for 5 years and are broken up now but we still remain good friends.

i also met one of my very best friends online 6 years ago, through a personals site (weak i know, what can i say, i was 15 and dumb). he is still in NY but we talk at least a few times a week and we keep each other updated on everything that is going on in our lives. he's probably one of the few people in this world that know EVERYTHING about me.

i also met an entire slew of freaks, weirdos, players, clingers, assholes, and generally fucked up people. i'm trying to think of the best story because there are just tooooo many to list. ok, this one dude i met online, he was a bouncer at a club in a city about 40 min north of where i lived, and just a totally sketchy character, but i was a fearless teenager who was attracted to the "bad boys"... so we agree to hang out and he picks me up at a Dairy Queen. he starts driving out into the country/mountains and i'm like "umm where are we going?" and after arguing about it for a while he agrees to drive to a park near the downtown area instead. so he parks the car and says to me "oh don't worry about that case in my backseat, that's just my gun"... i just kind of brushed it off like he was kidding, but then he tried putting the moves on me which i was not cool with, plus i got really worried that it could be a real gun, so i finally got super mad and upset and just told him he better take me back to my car. he complied, and needless to say, i never spoke to him again. when i told my friends the story (3 huge black dudes who were way protective of me) they went up to his house and "talked" to him about his disrespectful actions... lol, i still don't know the entire story behind that one, they refuse to tell me.

i've also met lots of TAs... they're really the only people that i care to meet IRL that i meet online. plus i don't really meet people anywhere else online.

but the best story is that i met my current boyfriend through TA


jamie - good luck with the apartment search! i also just went through the same ordeal w/ my ex, so i am moving into my new place Aug 15th! can't wait!!!

i met thsi girl when i went to see markus. she was all upON me and i was like geff of NUN!

Now for a story...
Met this girl online that went to UGA. A very attractive blonde raised in south GA. A story about a big city Yankee meeting a tiny town southern girl. We dated for almost a year but sadly she was extremely maniac depressive and finally I couldn't deal. I still think about her from time to time wondering how she is.

Set up a meet up before an event in your local forum, thats what we NYTA's do.

I met one of ATLTAs members a few years ago back when I was invtied down for a Tiesto concert, when I was new to EDM. She was a great girl and i had a good time
