I'm addicted to music. I get anxious and irritated if I can't listen to something I really want loudly.

I've never experienced a sugar/caffeine rush.

love is a dangerous drug.

probably adreniline, I love to skydive, do cage fights, and love gunfights, when everybody else is running away from bullets and explosions I'm the one running to it.

x2, except replace '10' with '7' and 'drive thru' with 'coffee machine at work'.

I recognize the experience of getting headaches in the weekend because of a lack of caffeine all too well..

Apart from that, no addictions. Yet

Well lets see... my legal addictions are SALT!, SEX, Trance and Games

My illegal addictions:

Pot (I only wake and bake on the weekends when I dont go to work) I cant sleep without it anymore. Smoked so much I hardly get high anymore unless its really good quanlity or exotics.

Stacker 3 (with ephedrine, the kind that is banned in the US...other ingredients in it are Caffeine, Aspirin so im addicted to caffience too but im my own non coffee way) I love ephedrine, especially at work. I work like a machine! I get weeks worth of work done in hours when Im on it.

Cigarettes - Newports, its fuckin hard to quit.

X - I used to be really hooked on it, but the more you take it after taking it so long it kind of repulses you to take it yet you still crave it, almost like an internal guilt of some sort. Dont know if anyone experiences that after years of use but I do, so I limit use to when I actually want to do it which isnt so often anymore. Like once to twice a year.

Posted by Moral Hazard on Aug-02-2005 13:44:

Addicted? No, not me. I can quit anytime I want. If I wanted to, I just don't want to OK? GET OFF MY BACK ALREADY!!!!

Sounds ridiculous but I think of music as a drug - the way I turn it on and it's like everything is OK again. I get cravings for loud music around 11-12pm every night and I get seriously on edge and quite angry if for some reason I can't listen to music when I want to. My mp3 player goes EVERYWHERE with me, along with a stock of batteries as I cant stand running out. This inlay pretty much sums up what I mean:

Heh. Without Trance, I probobly wouldn't have passed high school. I listen to it all the time. Without it I become really bored or irritable. I don't know if it's because of my addiction or because of school work being boring.

Actually I'm the same way.

I get very irritable when someone turns my music down, or tries to talk to me while I'm driving and cranking my tunes. I try not to be but I can't help it. I can't just put it on pause, and half the time I have to start a track over because I have to hear it all at once.

Posted by NuDarkBeat on Aug-02-2005 15:55:

lets see...

at 15-16 i was addicted to marijuana, at one point i was smoking an ounce a week for a few months...burnt

then i got into X i did it once but then didnt do it again for a few months and then i started doing it almost everyweekend for a couple years on and off.

then i got hooked on coke for a couple months

all in between i was drinking alcohol regularly

was getting into xanax for a good while also

and uhhh...thats it

Posted by NuDarkBeat on Aug-02-2005 15:56:

ohh yeaaa and now im pretty much clean as a whistle

Posted by KilldaDJ on Aug-02-2005 16:14:

i smoke weed.

pretty much everyday since the beginning of 2005

ive gone days where i would just wake up, have a shottie and a spliff and go to work etc

come home from work, have a few more shotties and chill out

trying to give up, life is so dull and boring with no weed

thats probably the only drug i can say im addicted to, i drink beer sometimes and smoke cigarettes but id hardly class them as drugs

OMFG yes! Or when I've got mp3 player on and I see somebody I know, my gut reaction is to hide from them cos I don't want my tune interupted. I've got busted doing that before and been called rude, anti-social and standoffish. Don't get me wrong, I've got time for my friends, just not in the middle of a tune!

My office mates don't understand why i come in to work and stick on my headphones immediately - to them music is a distraction. I'm the other way round - I can't function normally or concentrate on anything without music.

Nice to know I'm not alone in being a music junkie tho - good!!

I spend most of my day here at work with my headphones on, which sucks because I get often interrupted (I am a computer admin/tech support at my work). I also have to listen to it loud, so I have often not heard my phone because of my headphones, lol

I can't help it...

Nicotine. Hardest habit i've ever had to kick. Been smoking for 8 years now and i just can't seem to quit, i get insane cravings, withdrawals, and terrible mood swings when i try.
