every fire gets that rating downtown because of the potential of spreading to many other buildings due to the proximity of everything.

how many news channels were asking everyone to call in to say if they are now scared to fly or not.

The politics of fear. Such irresponisble media too.

Everyone is so hypersensitive today and the #1 factor to blame is our irresponsible media.

that article says the first cop arrived at 3:30am. LKD saw it this morning. could they have been fighting the fire for more than 5 hours? I know putting a fire out can be a very long process, but would they still be sending in massive ammounts of trucks at 9 in the morning?

confused.

I agree...along with the irresponsible people who start threads like this one, LOL.

everyone needs to settle down a bit...being vigilant and aware need not mean being paranoid after every report of a fire, power outage, transit delay, etc.

Posted by Jayx1 on Aug-03-2005 19:52:

be like the british guys i spoke to last week...

their reaction to a very real threat (as opposed to our imagined ones)? "Aaaaahhh we knew it was coming. It could happen to me one day but fuggit, why should i worry about what i don't have control of? For now im just going to head to Kingston Quay and have me-self a pint"

Thats the spirit!!

listen...i was just curious...not jumping up and down goin "omg im gonna die!!"

yesterday when we heard about the plane crash, i was on my way for a drink and proceeded to do as planned instead of running for cover and looking for updates on the news...

difference between yestreday and today...we knew it was a plane that crashed. today, didnt know wtf happened...

maybe u like living a sheltered life and not know what happens in ur neighborhood but not I

easy dude...I live and work DT...I guess I just don't consider the entire downtown core of Toronto to be "my neighbourhood"...and don't consider a bunch of fire trucks heading towards smoke as necessitating a "WTF is goin on downtown?" thread, lol.

I guess that cloud of smoke could just as easily have been a nuclear attack rather than the logical fire that it was though, lol

Posted by LKD on Aug-04-2005 20:09:

so i read the metro today and it seems that there were 20 fire trucks and 2 CATS WERE SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG
