Don't go with rogers..no matter what kind of deal they give you...i always end up paying way more than the actual deal..i once paid triple. So don't do it!!!!

There are a lot of considerations, just depends what you're priorities/needs are.

I've been a Bell customer for over 6yrs with a cell phone.
I'm however going to have to switch to Rogers due to travelling outside the country
Current bill - $170
I'm with City Fido right now and I love it. Never have to worry about "going over my minutes" or any crap like that, signal in the GTA is awesome, never any dropped calls or shit like that.
Sure once I leave the general area there's no service but how often do I go outside of that, hardly ever. Besides, I don't buy the crap phones that the Canadian market has too offer, so simple and so behind the times. Phones available in Japan are out of this world in their capabilities and extra features and you can buy them here as well and it works just as good, well you can't buy them from any authorized dealer but if you look hard enough you can find them.

| Originally posted by rabbitjoker If your phone doesn't have 850 then you're missing out! Only NA phones have 850. Euro phones have 900. There are no 900 GSM providers in Canada - so you're stuck @ 1900. 850 phones is superior to 1900: - transmits better through solid objects - less handsets use 850, more channels/time slots available - many more benifits not listed above (mobius can elaborate) Plus, all 850 phones also support 1900 - which means you have double the frequency availability than 1900 alone. IMO 850 is top-notch. A phone without 850 is like day without sunshine... |
